Rugby World Cup may be taking a break, but there are still plenty of betting options for punters to get involved in on Thursday and we take a closer look in our Daily Diary.
GOLF
Paul Casey tops the betting boards at 10/1 for the Italian Open and looking a bit further down the betting we find South African, Erik Van Rooyen at 35/1. If Van Rooyen can capture some of his form from a few weeks ago he should be right in the running. There are plenty of other markets to bet on and there will be in-running betting throughout the Tournament.

In America this week’s Tournament is the Houston Open and here we have Henrik Stenson topping the betting boards at 10/1. By PGA Tour standards it is a relatively thin looking field and we have a small fancy for Bud Cauley currently 55/1 for a win and 11/1 for a Top Five.

The action gets going at 06:00 in the morning South African time and India starts the match at 11/20 favourites with South Africa 8/1 and the draw 12/5. There will be in-running betting throughout the match and you can click here to bet on India v South Africa.
TENNIS
The ATP Shanghai Masters continues on Thursday and big serving John Isner who has already delivered for us in this Tournament is 5/1 to upset Novak Djokovic who is 1/8. There are a number of markets available in all of the matches and you can click here for ATP Shanghai betting.
RUGBY
The World Cup may be taking a break, but there is still Mitre10 Cup action on Thursday morning with Southland up against Bay of Plenty. Southland are 9/1 with the draw 75/1 and Bay of Plenty a very short price 1/20 which relates to a handicap of Bay of Plenty (-23.5).
Keep an eye out for the Total Points Line which will be available closer to kick off having said to be bad weather in the area.

FOOTBALL
There are plenty of Euro 20 Qualifiers on Thursday night including the Netherlands v Northern Ireland where the Netherlands are short priced at 2/11 to win the match with Northern Ireland as big as 29/2. We fancy the Netherlands to win this one comfortably and the goals to flow and will take over 3.5 goals at 27/20.

HORSE RACING
Local Horse Racing takes place at the Vaal on Thursday with the first race due off at 13:30 and the 8th and final race at 17:40. Sunshine Silk looks likely to be a popular Pick Six banker currently priced at 11/10 to win the 4th Race over a marathon 2400 metres and our fancy for the day comes in Race 5 also over 2400 metres where current favourite Slay The Dragon gets the nod at 3/1
