Thursday is a busy one for sports punters with FA Cup football, Women’s T20 World Cup Semi-Finals and European and PGA Tour golf. We take a closer look in our Daily Diary.
FOOTBALL
Let’s start off with the FA Cup where Derby host Manchester United and are 5/1 for the win, the draw 33/10 and United 11/20.
Derby required a replay to see off Northampton 4-2 at home in the last round and prior to that they beat Crystal Palace 1-0 on the road. Manchester United hammered Tralee 6-0 away in their last round and prior to that required a replay before beating Wolves 1-0 at home.
Derby broke a 4 match run without a League victory when they beat Sheffield Wednesday 3-1 away on the weekend while Manchester United are undefeated in their last 8 matches in all competitions and came from behind to draw 1-1 with Everton on Sunday.
We don’t think United will have it all their own way here and reckon the draw is a decent price at 33/10.

CRICKET
It is the 2 Cricket World Cup Women’s semi-finals on Thursday and first up we have India v England with India trading as 8/11 favourites and England are priced at 11/10.

The big one from a South African point of view is Australia against South Africa where the South Africans have once again been priced as big underdogs at 28/10 with the Aussies on offer at 2/7.
There are a host of Exotic Markets available on the match and we fancy the Australian women to hit the most match 6’s at 17/20.

GOLF
In Europe it is time for the Commercial Bank, Qatar Masters where Martin Kaymer is trading as the 16/1 favourite ahead of Thomas Pieters and Robert Macintyre both priced at 22/1.
It certainly isn’t the strongest of fields and we think South African, George Coetzee could be in with a shout at 30/1 a win and 6/1 a Top 5 finish after some improved recent showings.

In America it is the Arnold Palmer Invitational and Rory Mcilroy is the favourite at 5/1 with Tommy Fleetwood priced at 16/1 and you can get 20/1 and better the balance.
Brooks Koepka has been a bit off his game of late, but with the majors approaching we wouldn’t be surprised to see him sneaking into contention here and the 66/10 that he runs into the Top 5 deserves a second look.
There is not a lot of South Africa representation this week and Charl Schwartzel is the best priced at 100/1 and you can get him 14/10 to be the top South African against Christiaan Bezuidenhout and Dylan Frittelli.
