The PSL match between Bidvest Wits and Baroka looks to be the sporting highlight for Tuesday and we take a look at that game and some of the other opportunities for punters to bet on.
PSL, Wits v Baroka
We may only be one round in, but Wits sit on top of the table after their opening 3-0 win over AmaZulu at the weekend. They face Baroka who drew 2-2 at home to Cape Town City.
Wits won this fixture 3-1 last season and they also won the reverse fixture 2-1 so over 2.5 goals arrived in both matches as did both teams to score. Given those head-to-head stats that over 2.5 goals arrived in both of their opening fixtures, we like it again at the current price of 5/4.

After the first weekend of PSL action Wits are 6/1 for the title behind Kaizer Chiefs 5/1, Pirates 3/1 and favourites Sundowns 16/10.

TENNIS, ATP ROGERS CUP
The Rogers Cup taking place in Montreal in Canada continues on Tuesday and big hitting John Isner is in action and is a 5/10 favourite to see off Jordan Thompson. A bet we always enjoy when Isner always plays is the first set, correct score 7-6 to Isner and that is priced at 5/2.

CRICKET, West Indies v India, 3rd T20
India take an unassailable 2-0 lead into the 3rd and final T20 against the West Indies having seen them off on the Duckworth Lewis method on Sunday by 22 runs. There didn’t seem to be too much between the sides in that game and I think the 15/10 West Indies to win the match could be worth a nibble especially given India have already won the series.

While on the topic of Cricket, a quick betting update on the Ashes after Australia won the first of five Test Matches, the Aussies are now into 7/10 favourites, England 9/4 and the drawn series is 5/1.

HORSE RACING
Local horse racing takes place at the Vaal on Tuesday with the first race off at 12h10 and the 9th and final race at 16h55. The 7th race has an incredibly open look to it and at the time of writing there were 3 horses disputing favouritism at 5/1 with another just behind in the betting at 6/1.
We fancy a decent run from Horse No. 5, Alex the Great currently priced at 13/2 for the win and 27/20 for a Top 3 finish.
