BettingDiaryThe 4th Ashes Test between England and Australia is one of Wednesday’s betting highlights and we take a look at the game as well as other options available to punters in our Daily Diary.

CRICKET

England and Australia head to Old Trafford for the 4th test with the series locked at one a piece after England came back from the dead last time out. Hero of the 3rd Test was undoubtedly Ben Stokes who is now trading as short as 1/5 for the BBC Sports Personality of the Year without Shane Lowry.

Back to the cricket and England have a good recent record at Old Trafford and will be looking to ride the wave of momentum they are bringing with them after the 3rd Test. Australia will welcome Steve Smith back into the fold and the former Captain is priced at 5/2 to score a 100 in the first innings.

Other Exotics of interest include a Top Home Bowler where Anderson and Archer are disputing favouritism at 5/2, but we think it is best to keep it simple and just go for an England win at 29/20.

TENNIS

The US Open Men’s Singles continues on Wednesday and at the time of writing two matches have been priced up for Wednesday evening South African time. Gael Monfils is a 5/10 favourite to see off Matteo Berrettini who is 15/10 and Rafael Nadal is as short as 1/25 to beat Diego Schwartzman who is 37/4.

In the latter game in particular you would be well advised to look at the Exotic Markets such as 1st set total games, over or under 9.5 or if you fancy Schwartzman might sneak a set then the 3-1 set, correct score in favour of Rafael Nadal is 53/20.

CYCLING

The Vuelta a Espana continues with Stage 11 on Wednesday and looking at the route this is unlikely to shake up the General Classification, but could offer opportunities for breakaway riders. That generally means finding a winner is tough, but at the same time the betting is open and those who know their cycling can profit.

Other options on this stage includes Match Betting where you simply pick one rider to beat another and of course we have all the long term markets updated when available and winner of Stage 10, Primoz Roglic is now a massive odds on favourite.

HORSE RACING

Local Horse Racing takes place in Kenilworth in Cape Town on Wednesday with the first race off at 13h00 and the 8th and final race at 17h25.

The 6th Race has a wide open look to it, but we do have a fancy for the ruling favourite, Horse No. 4, Ready To Rumble currently priced at 7/2 and we also fancy the swinger with Savea, Horse No. 5 who is currently priced at 8/1.
