The highlight of the sporting weekend is without a doubt the Rugby World Cup Final between England and South Africa and we take a closer look at the betting as well as some of the other options available to punters in our weekend diary.
RUGBY
England and South Africa do battle for Rugby’s number 1 prize and there has been a lot of money for England during the week with the handicap shifting from (-3.5) to the current level of (-5.5).
For those interested in total points lines it is set at 36.5 and it is clear the bookies expect a tight and low scoring final. There are literally hundreds of markets for punters to choose from and if you reckon Cheslin Kolbe can get straight back into the thick of things he is 11/1 to score the first try. No try scorer is priced at 14/1 so if you are expecting these teams to cancel each other out this could be the way to go.
We have a preview of the game in our blog so you can click here to read England v South Africa and click here for betting on the game.
There is also plenty of European Rugby with the Guinness Pro 14 continuing and on Saturday the Cheetahs are away to the Scarlets and they are priced at 27/20 to win the match.
There has been significant support for Edinburgh to beat Benetton shortening from 9/10 to 7/10 and in the English Premiership, Gloucester have been well backed to beat Leicester on the road, currently (-4.5) from an opening quote of (-2.5).

SOCCER
There is a full host of English Premier League action with Manchester United away at Bournemouth getting us going on Saturday and United are 12/10 for the victory.
Liverpool and Manchester City are both very short on Saturday, Liverpool 7/20 away at Villa and City 1/11 at home to Southampton and if you are getting involved in those games you will probably want to look at Total Goals markets or other Exotic options available.
On Sunday, Everton play Tottenham in what is perhaps the match of the weekend and betting suggests it will be tight with Everton 17/10, the draw 51/20 and Tottenham 16/10.

The Telkom Knockout Cup quarter-finals also take place this weekend and the big one is, of course, Kaizer Chiefs up against Orlando Pirates on Saturday.
Chiefs are 7/4, the draw is 18/10 and Pirates are 39/20 for the victory. The draw is always a big runner in South African Cup games, but we just have a feeling that Kaizer Chiefs are going to sneak this one at 7/4.

HORSE RACING
As usual we have 3 local Horse Racing meetings this weekend with Turffontein and Kenilworth on Saturday and Greyville on Sunday.
Looking at the Kenilworth meeting it is an 8 race card starting at 12:45 and finishing at 17:20. The fields are not particular big but it also does not look a straight forward card although we feel that in Race 4, Horse No. 3, Fleeced currently 8/10 will be a popular Pick Six banker.

The big racing for the weekend takes place at Turffontein where we have a monster card starting at 13:00 and finishing with Race 13 at 20:25.
There are big fields and plenty of open betting heats and it is certainly a day where you would like to catch one of the Exotic bets like the Pick Six. The Charity Mile is Race 7 and always attracts a lot of interest and we have a slight fancy for Tilbury Fort currently priced at 16/1.

Onto Greyville on Sunday with an 8 race card starting at 12:35 and finishing at 15:40. We haven't had a chance to apply our minds to this one yet, but in Race 5 over 1900 metres you should get away with Horses No. 3 and 4, Twice Golden and Ice Baron currently 15/10 joint favourites in your Pick Six.
