BettingDiarySouth Africa have their dream Final with the Stormers hosting the Blue Bulls in Cape Town on Saturday and we take a look at the game from a betting angle.

The Stormers won their semi-final at home to Ulster last week in dramatic fashion with Gelant scoring a try after the hooter and Libbok who had missed his previous kicks in the game stepping up to nail the conversion for a 17-15 win.

The Stormers had mainly home games towards the end of the season they finished extremely strong with a lone defeat to the Lions back in December, their only blemish in Cape Town. They beat Edinburgh 28-17 in their quarter-final drawing clear in the 2nd half.

The Bulls pulled off one of the upsets of the year when they beat Leinster in Dublin to book their spot in the final. They started the game 18 point underdogs, but from the start played as if they should have been the favourites and a late Leinster consolation try made the game look a bit closer than it was with the Bulls finally winning 27-26. The Bulls based their victory around a strong performance by the pack and a defence that just didn’t give their opposition any time on the ball. The week before the Bulls beat the Sharks 30-27 with a late drop goal in Pretoria.

These sides met twice in the competition and both games were close. The Stormers beat the Bulls 30-26 at Loftus and then edged them 19-17 in Cape Town.

Stormers 8/10

Draw 22/1

Blue Bulls 5/4

Handicap: Stormers -1.5

Suggested Bet: Tribet any other result at 17/10

The Tribet gives you 3 options, you can either bet the Stormers to win by 7 or more at 16/10, the Bulls by 7 or more at 2/1 or any other result which means either side can win the game by 6 points or less or it can end in a draw. I am expecting this one to be very tight and would be very surprised if the Tribet is not in running right until the final minutes.

Look out for more markets including Total Points, First Try Scorer and Match Tries closer to kick-off.
