The European Tour season reaches its climax this week with the DP World Tour Championship played at the Earth Course at the Jumeirah Golf Estates in Dubai. We take a look at the Tournament from a betting angle.
The Earth Course plays to a par 72 and it is long with wide fairways. There are a host of bunkers scattered throughout and water can play a role down the finishing stretch. Given the room for error off the tee, driving distance is usually important and finding the large undulating greens is also a key to victory here.
Organisers will be disappointed that current 3rd place in the Race to Dubai and World Number 1, Jon Rahm is not playing in the tournament, but we nonetheless have a quality field with Rory Mcilroy heading the betting at 6/1 ahead of Collin Morikawa 8/1 and you can get 16/1 and better the balance.

SELECTIONS
Rory Mcilroy win only at 6/1
Rory has won this event twice before, the last time coming back in 2015 and he was 4th when he last played here in 2019. He is coming off a bit of a break, but won his last Tournament and he looks a worthy favourite this week and as I only wanted to select one of the top two in the betting, he narrowly edges Morikawa as my pick.
Bernd Wiesberger each way at 20/1
Wiesberger warmed up for this Tournament with a runner-up spot last week and although his course form doesn’t jump off the page at you he did have a 4th place finish back in 2016.
Patrick Reed each way at 30/1
Patrick Reed gets into this Tournament by invite and it is something he may well take advantage of as he has an excellent record at the track with 4 Top 10’s in his 5 starts here including a 3rd place last year and a runner-up finish in 2018. He was runner-up 3 weeks back although hasn’t played well over the last fortnight, but I expect him to go well at a track that he really enjoys.
Adri Arnaus each way at 60/1
I had to look for an outsider and Arnaus is what I have come up with, he is in good form all be it a bit erratic and had a Top 10 in his last finish two weeks back. It is his course form though that catches the eye, this will be his third appearance here with a Top 30 on debut and a 10th place finish in 2020.
