Two sides you would have got a massive price on at the start of the Tournament meet in the Nedbank Cup Final at the Free State Stadium on Saturday and we take a look at the game between Tshakhuma and Chippa United from a betting angle.

BettingDiaryTshakhuma beat Mamelodi Sundowns 1-0 on penalties in their semi-final and prior to that they had seen off Black Leopards on the road, beaten Swallows at home on penalties and edged SuperSport United 1-0 at home, so it is fair to say they have had a tough route to the Final.

Their recent League form has been a bit hit and miss, but last weekend they beat Kaizer Chiefs 2-1 at home and 3 out of their last 4 matches, in all competitions, has seen over 2.5 goal backers collect profits.

Chippa United fought off a game Pretoria Callies 1-0 in their semi-final and prior to that they had beaten Richards Bay 2-1. In their last 16 encounter against Cape Town City they required extra time for a win and were also pushed all the way in the Round of 32 clash with Free State Stars where they won on penalties.

Chippa United are in some pretty decent form in the League taking 7 points from their last 9 and they are coming off back-to-back victories away at Chiefs and at home to Stellenbosch.

In Chippa United’s last 5 games across League and Cup only 4 goals have been scored and only 1 or no teams have found the back of the net in 4 of the 5 games.

When these sides met at Chippa United earlier in the season the game finished 1-1.

Tshakhuma 7/4

Draw 21/10

Chippa 7/4

Suggested Bet: Tshakhuma to lift the Cup at 17/20

You can get 7/4 about Tshakhuma winning in regulation time, the same price as Chippa United, but the draw which is trading at 21/10 is clearly a massive runner in a game I expect to be tense and tight. For that reason I am taking a lesser price and I don’t mind how Tshakhuma lift the Cup, as long as they do so.

Looking at the Correct Score Markets, the 1-1 draw is trading at 17/4 and just behind that is the goalless draw at 6/1 that is the one I like.

Additional Bet: Correct Score 0-0 at 6/1.
