BettingDiaryWe take a look at the 2 Champions League last 16 2nd Leg matches taking place on Wednesday from a betting angle.

BAYERN MUNICH v LAZIO – Click here to bet

Bayern Munich all but ensured their passage to the last 8 with a convincing 4-1 win away at Lazio last time out. They now return home where they had a 100% record in the group stages, winning all of their games by more than a goal.

The German giants have recovered from a little wobbly spell in the League to win their last 3 in succession and on the weekend they beat Werder Bremen 3-1 on the road and they have scored 12 goals in their last 3 League games while conceding 4.

Lazio drew all 3 of their away matches in the group stages 1-1 with the highlight being the draw at Dortmund. An interesting thing from Lazio’s Champion League games is that both teams have found the net in all 7 matches including the 1st leg against Bayern Munich.

BETTING

Bayern Munich 7/20

Draw 19/4

Lazio 27/4

Suggested Bet: Bayern Munich (-1) at 17/20

The only reason we are getting a price about this is because Bayern Munich are under no pressure to win this game, but given the difference in quality between the sides I can still see a comfortable home win.

CHELSEA v ATLETICO MADRID – Click here to bet

Chelsea take a 1-0 advantage into the home leg and they are currently playing some excellent football. Looking at their form in the group stages at home they drew 2 and won 1 and they are unbeaten in their last 13 matches in all competitions although are coming off a disappointing goalless draw away at Leeds on the weekend.

Atletico Madrid were a mixed bag on the road in the Champions League group stages getting hammered 4-0 by Bayern Munich, but then drawing with Lokomotiv Moscow and beating Salzburg. They have 2 wins and 2 draws from their last 4 League games, 3 of which have delivered for under 3.5 punters.

BETTING

Chelsea 5/4

Draw 9/4

Atletico Madrid 49/20

Suggested Bet: Chelsea win at 5/4

This should be a tight match and Chelsea know they cannot afford to concede a goal against Atletico Madrid as they will then be under heaps of pressure. I have been very impressed with Chelsea over the past weeks since coming under new management and I think they will wait for their chances before grabbing victory.
