KAMARU USMAN vs JOAQUIN BUCKLEY

Welterweight Main Event:

Kamaru Usman is a highly skilled Nigerian fighter known for his elite striking and incredible stamina. He has had a strong career with the UFC, competing 17 times since making his debut nearly a decade ago.

Usman was in immaculate form during the first 14 fights of his UFC run, remaining unbeaten in that stretch. Six of those bouts were title fights, with three of his title wins coming via knockout and decision, respectively.

However, since 2022, Usman’s form has declined. He has lost his last three fights—two of them title bouts against Leon Edwards, and most recently a close decision loss to Khamzat Chimaev.

Joaquin Buckley, fighting out of the United States, is known for his devastating knockout power and explosive athleticism. He made his UFC debut in 2020 and has compiled an impressive record of 11 wins and 4 losses.

Since 2023, Buckley has been on a tear, winning all six of his fights—four by knockout and two by decision—putting together a strong win streak heading into this weekend. His last appearance was in December, where he defeated Colby Covington via doctor’s stoppage in Round 3.

Usman 3.10

Buckley 1.40

PREDICTION:

Although Usman has had a highly impressive career, he’s struggled in recent outings, while Buckley appears to be improving with each fight. I think Buckley gets it done with a knockout by Round 3.

ROSE NAMAJUNAS vs MIRANDA MAVERICK

Women’s Flyweight Co-Main Event:

Rose Namajunas is a seasoned American fighter and a veteran of the UFC Women’s division. She has been part of the promotion since 2015 and has fought 16 times, holding a record of 10 wins and 5 losses.

Earlier in her career, Namajunas went on a dominant run and became one of the toughest competitors in her division. She has competed in six title fights, winning four and losing two. However, in recent years she has struggled to maintain consistency, partly due to changes in weight classes. She has lost three of her last five fights.

Her most recent outing came in November, where she faced Erin Blanchfield in a five-round contest and lost by decision.

Miranda Maverick, also from the United States, is known for her strong grappling and excellent cardio. She has been competing in the UFC for just under five years and holds a record of 8 wins and 3 losses.

Maverick enters this fight on a four-fight win streak. Of those victories, three came via decision and one by submission. Her most recent bout was against Jamey-Lyn Horth in December, where she earned a win by decision.

Namajunas 1.40

Maverick 3.00

PREDICTION:

Namajunas comes into this bout as the better fighter on paper and I think she will get the job done this weekend, taking a decision win over Maverick.

EDMEN SHAHBAZYAN vs ANDRE PETROSKI

Middleweight Fight:

Edmen Shahbazyan is an American mixed martial artist who has struggled with consistency during his UFC tenure, which began in 2019. He has competed 11 times in the promotion, recording 6 wins and 5 losses.

His most recent appearance came in February, where he delivered a dominant first-round knockout against Dylan Budka, showcasing the striking power that earned him early attention in his career.

Andre Petroski, also fighting out of the United States, is a well-rounded athlete with a freestyle approach to his technique. Known for his durability and cardio, he often goes the distance in his fights. Petroski made his UFC debut around four years ago and has remained active, compiling a record of 8 wins and 2 losses from 10 bouts.

His last three fights have all ended in decision victories, with his most recent win coming against Rodolfo Vieira in February.

Shahbazyan 1.57

Petroski 2.50

PREDICTION:

Although Petroski enters the bout with the betting odds stacked against him, I think he has the power to keep Shahbazyan on high alert, picking up enough points on the judge’s scorecards to win the clash by decision.

SUGGESTED BETS:

Usman vs Buckley

Buckley by knockout at 2.50

Namajunas vs Maverick

Namajunas by decision at 1.60

Shahbazyan vs Petroski

Petroski by decision at 4.50
