The Verdict

 

The favourite Eight on Eighteen has been the subject of much talk and ante post money and understandably so after chasing home a champion in the form of One Stripe in his last 2 runs. He could be the right one but the price looks pretty skinny and the value could lie elsewhere. See It Again and to some degree Oriental Charm were below par in the Kings Plater over 1600m but could feature over the longer distance of 2000m. Red Palace has been the subject of some betting interest and only filly in the race can make use of the sex allowance and the No 1 draw.
