Durban Super Giants

The Super Giants lost the final match of the round robin stage to JSK on Saturday, going down by 7 wickets. They were already assured of a top 2 finish and their place in this qualifier before that game and opted to rest a few regulars.

DSG bring a record of 7 wins and 3 defeats into the play offs and they were on or around the top of standings throughout the tournament, eventually finishing second. They lost to the Sunrisers in Durban by 5 wickets in Match 12 although they had seen SEC off in Match 2 at St. Georges by 35 runs.

In the outright betting to win the tournament Betway have DSG priced at 13/10 favourites

This was how the Super Giants lined up last time out.

Sunrisers Eastern Cape

The Sunrisers Eastern Cape finished with 7 wins, 1 no result and 2 defeats and they won 6 of their last 7 matches to top the log.

Their latest win came against Paarl Royals by a 5 wicket margin at St. Georges and aside from losing the first clash with DSG their only other defeat came away to the Capitals by just 3 runs.

In the outright betting to win the tournament Betway have the Sunrisers priced at 16/10 second favourites

The Verdict

Both teams beat MI Cape Town at Newlands in the regular season and in the 2 head to heads home advantage counted for nothing. It could well get close and remember the loser here will have a second chance at reaching the final in the second qualifier on Thursday.

With QdK likely to return and the likes of Klaasen in their ranks I'm going to go with DSG to score 18 or more runs in any one of the overs in their innings.

Bets: Durban Super Giants Total In The Highest Scoring Over - over 17.5 runs at 9/10 with Betway
