Wednesday night's English Premier League action sees Aston Villa host Liverpool and the visitors are bidding to go 10 points clear at the top of the standings
Aston Villa
Villa have drawn 3 and lost 1 of their last 4 league games and are just above half way in the standings, 5 points off a top 6 place. That sequence started with a more than useful 2-2 draw away to Arsenal but since then they were held 1-1 at home to West Ham, lost 2-0 at Wolves and last weekend they drew 1-1 at home to Ipswich who had a man red carded.
Villa have the UCL Round of 16 to look forward to and have also progressed in the FA Cup after a 2-1 home win over Spurs.
Liverpool
League games are coming thick and fast for Liverpool who were pegged back by Everton in a 2-2 draw at Goodison a week ago. On Sunday they were 2-1 winners at home to Wolves, they were comfortable at 2-0 up but it ended up in tense finish. The league leaders are now 7 points clear of Arsenal and 13 in front of third placed Forest and all teams have played 25 matches.
Liverpool exited the FA Cup when a much changed side went down 1-0 at Plymouth in Round 4 but like Villa they are are waiting for confirmation of who their UCL Ro16 opponents will be and they also have an EFL Cup Final against Newcastle to look forward to.

Liverpool were 2-0 winners when the teams met at Anfield earlier in the season and in 4 of their last 6 league games they have scored exactly 2 goals. I went for Liverpool multi goals 2-3 in last week's derby at Everton and will stick with that outcome here
