Brighton 9/10 Draw 28/10 Crystal Palace 29/10
Brighton have dropped points in each of their last 3 matches, score draws at home to Southampton and most recently at Leicester either side of a 3-1 defeat at Fulham. They still finished the previous round in a healthy enough seventh position and they are unbeaten at home with 3 wins and 4 draws.
Fourth bottom Palace are unbeaten in their last 4 with 1 win and 3 draws. They drew 2-2 at home to Man City last week and recent road trips delivered another 2-2 draw at Villa and a 1-0 win at Ipswich, their only victory on the road alongside 3 draws and 3 defeats.
The Verdict
Going on stats from results only the draw has plenty going for it but my gut feel is that Palace will be a handful and Eze gets my goalscorer vote.
Bets: Anytime goalscorer Eze at 28/10 with Betway
Man City 11/20 Draw 36/10 Man United 4.25/1
City lost again in the UCL at Juve in midweek and they have just 1 win in their last 10 across all competitions. They have taken 4 points from their last 2 league games but still finished the previous round in fourth spot, 8 points off league leaders Liverpool who also have a game in hand.
United have lost their last 2 league games, 2-0 at Arsenal and 3-2 at home to Forest, a reality check for the new coach who's side finished the previous round down in thirteenth position. They have won just 1 of seven road trips, drawing 3 and losing 3 and goals away from home have been pretty scarce with 6 scored and 7 conceded.
The Verdict
I'm totally stumped by City's form and to some degree that of United as well and City's team news, especially in defence will be worth a second look as Lewis and Ake are out and Akanji and Stones rated doubtful. That sways me towards United contributing to the scoring and the price for Bruno Fernandes, who has 3 in the last 6 United league games, seems fair enough.
Bets: Bets: Anytime goalscorer Bruno Fernandes at 7/2 with Sportingbet
Chelsea 1 / 3 Draw 5/1 Brentford 68/10
Chelsea are unbeaten in their last 7 league games with 5 wins and 2 draws, a run which has taken them into second position, 4 points behind Liverpool who have played 1 game fewer. With 35 goals they are also the top scorers in the EPL and they have found the net 12 times in their last 3 league games.
Brentford boast the best home record in the EPL (7 wins, 1 draw) but when travelling they have lost 6 and drawn just the 1 (0-0) at Everton. They are comfortable in mid table but a tally of just 5 goals away from home compared to 26 in front of their own supporters tells it's own story.
The Verdict
Enzo Fernandez has been in his best form since becoming a Chelsea player and he has been more of a factor in the attacking third than I imagined. I fancy he will register a shot on target at some stage.
Bets: Player shots on target, Enzo Fernadez 1 or more at 19/20 with Betway
Southampton 32/10 Draw 33/10 Spurs 7/10
Southampton remain bottom of the log with just 5 points, 4 shy of Wolves and Ipswich and 8 adrift of fourth bottom Palace. They have beaten Everton here (1-0) and drawn with Ipswich but other than a recent draw away to Brighton, it's been a take of woe so far this season.
Spurs have won just 1 of their last 5 league games and have slipped back into mid table. That win came at Man City (4-0) but injury problems, especially in defence have seen them battle recently and they have lost their last 2 in the EPL, 1-0 at Bournemouth and 4-3 at home to Chelsea.
The Verdict
Even against Southampton I can't be having Spurs right now but their best form of defence is probably their attack and I'm with Son to provide an assist.
Bets: Player to provide an assist, Son at 23/10 with Sportingbet
