England 12/10 Draw 2/1 Switzerland 27/10

England arrive in the semi finals after surviving a huge scare against Slovakia in the previous round. They were 1-0 down deep into injury time when Jude Bellingham found the net to send the game into extra time, Harry Kane quickly put England 2-1 up and that's the way it finished.

England were hardly convincing but they topped Group C unbeaten with 1 win and 2 draws to finish 2 points clear of Denmark and Slovenia whilst Serbia were fourth. England played out a 0-0 draw with Slovenia in their final group outing. Earlier Harry Kane gave them the lead in a 1-1 draw with Denmark and in their first action of the tournament an early Bellingham goal was enough to see off Serbia 1-0.

Switzerland beat defending champions Italy 2-0 in the Round of 16 thanks to goals from Remo Freuler and Ruben Vargas and they were full value for the win.

Switzerland came through their group as runners up to Germany with Hungary's third place also ensuring they progressed and Scotland were eliminated.

They started with a 3-1 win over Hungary with Kwadwo Duah, Michel Aebischer and Breel Embolo on target. The Swiss then drew 1-1 with Scotland with Xherdan Shaqiri equalizing after they had fallen behind early doors. They came close to shocking Germany in their final group match with Dan Ndoye giving them a first half lead which was only levelled in injury time of another 1-1 draw.

The Verdict:

Switzerland have already seen off Italy and drew a group match with Germany and they will have plenty of belief they can get past an England side, packed with talent but battling to hit top gear.

Like England, I'm also struggling for form, especially in their matches but they might see plenty of the ball here and I'll take a speculative play on Southgate's side to be awarded 7 or more corners.

Netherlands 0.58/1 Draw 3.15/1 Turkey 9/2

The Netherlands had way too much for Romania in the Round of 16. A first half goal from Gakpo and two late strikes from Donyell Malen secured a comfortable 3-0 win.

The Netherlands needed the best third place finisher safety net in order to take their place in the knockout rounds. A record of 1 win, 1 draw and 1 defeat saw them come in 2 points behind Austria and 1 shy of France whilst Poland were eliminated. The Dutch lost 3-2 to Austria in their final group match, they never led and although Gakpo and Depay twice brought them level Austria ran out deserved winners. Earlier they played out a goalless draw with France and Gakpo and Wout Weghorst helped them to a 2-1 win over Poland in their first match.

Merih Demiral was Turkey's goal hero in their thrilling 2-1 win over Austria, scoring in the first minute and again on the hour and although Austria pulled one back and threatened an equalizer it never materialized.

Turkey finished as runners up to Portugal in Group F. Both teams finished with 2 wins and 1 defeat and Portugal had the better goal difference, Georgia secured one of the best third place finisher positions and Czech Republic were eliminated.

A 2-1 win over Czech Republic saw Turkey reach the last 16 with Cenk Tosun scoring the winner in injury time. Earlier they went down 3-0 to Portugal in their second outing and in the opening group match goals from Mert Muldur, Real Madrid's Arda Guler and then Kerem Akturkoglu secured a 3-1 win.

The Verdict:

The Dutch put in arguably their best display of the tournament in the R016 and now come up against a very spirited Turkey side who could be upset material.

The goals markets suggest it could be a high scoring game but the odds available make little appeal although I will take my chances with Gakpo to score any time.

Bets: Anytime goalscorer Gakpo at 17/10 with BoyleSports
