European Championship Group F continues on Saturday and outright tournament favourites France are a short price to make it two wins from two when they take on Hungary in Budapest.
Group F Betting Update
The opening round of matches in what is considered the toughest group saw Portugal beat Hungary 3-0 and France were 1-0 winners over Germany.
At the time of writing France are 6/10 to top this quartet ahead of Portugal 2.35/1, Germany are priced at around 7/1 and it's any price Hungary.
Hungary
Hungary squeezed into these finals via the play offs and then found themselves in the company of 3 big guns. They lost their opening match 3-0 to Portugal, conceding all 3 goals from the 84th minute onwards. The stadium in Budapest was filled to capacity and despite having just 30% of possession Hungary dug in until those closing minutes when the floodgates opened. They registered 3 shots on target but failed to win a corner, VAR correctly denied them a goal but the size of the task now is formidable and they still have to face Germany.
France
France put an early marker down with a 1-0 win over Germany in their opening match which was staged in Munich. An own goal on 20 minutes gave France the points and it was a pretty even contest although the Germans had the better of the key stats. France started as slight favourites for the match and they fielded all their top players including the attacking trio of Griezmann, Benzema and Mbappe. It was hardly a spectacular performance but given the quality of the opposition first up it was an excellent result.
Victory here will see France through ahead of their final group match with Portugal and topping the group will be the aim.
France's odds to win the tournament are around 4/1, outright favourites ahead of the likes of England, Belgium and Italy.

Hungary are priced at around 10.5/1 to win the game with the draw at 44/10 and France can be backed at around 3/10
A game of 3 goals or more is priced at 0.82/1 and it's 1.35/1 for both teams to score.

The Verdict:
Portugal had to be very patient to beat Hungary who will again have a capacity crowd roaring them on but once the first goal went in the Hungarian defence fell apart.
To coin a horse racing phrase France should “come on for the run” after edging their way past the Germans. Whether we see the best of the French just yet I'm not so sure but either way I don't see any surprises here.
I'll go with level stakes on France to win 2-0 or 3-0.
