Outright Winner

The European Tour continues provide drama week in, week out and this should be another excellent week at Valderrama: –

Jon Rahm – 3/1

Spaniard Jon Rahm wasn’t able to bring home the bacon at the Spanish Open last week, but he looks well placed to feature heavily again this week.

Matthew Fitzpatrick – 14/1

Englishman Matthew Fitzpatrick has been a pillar of consistency over the past few seasons and how he would love to pick up another tournament win here in Spain.

Bernd Wiesberger – 20/1

Austrian Bernd Wiesberger is a seasoned pro on the European Tour and his top 15 finish at the Spanish Open last time out suggested that he could be finding some form once more.

Adri Arnaus – 25/1

Another home favourite sure to be in the mix here is Adri Arnaus, a skilful ball striker that is always capable of shooting low scores on any golf course he encounters.

Martin Kaymer – 30/1

Former world number one Martin Kaymer is always one to watch in any event he plays, with his streaky style of game often propelling him into contention in the big events.

1st Round Leader

Producing the goods over 72 holes is often the most difficult thing for any golfer to do therefore here are our first round leader picks:-

Rafa Cabrera Bello – 33/1

Experienced Spaniard Rafa Cabrera Bello won at the Spanish Open last time out and he could be a player that could get off to a flyer in familiar conditions this week.

Joost Luiten – 35/1

Dutchman Joost Luiten has really struggled to patch any form together for the past 12 months or so, but he could be well suited to the conditions here in Spain.

Jamie Donaldson – 45/1

Welshman Jamie Donaldson always produces solid golf in every event he plays and with the conditions set fair in Southern Spain, he could go well this week.

Top Ten Finish

With so many quality players assembled here at Valderrama, getting into the winning enclosure could be tough but there are plenty of candidates to finish in the top 10 come Sunday:-

Thomas Pieters – 5/2

Belgian Thomas Pieters is a proven performer on the European Tour, and he is regularly in the mix in all of the biggest events on the circuit.

Matthias Schwab – 9/4

Austrian Matthias Schwab is one of the brightest talents within European golf but following a relatively quiet season, he will be looking to finish the campaign strongly.

Guido Migliozzi – 3/1

Italian Guido Migliozzi continues to be one of the most talked about prospects on the European Tour and he could be one to watch here at Valderrama.
