Race 1
FANNY KEMBLE showed very good improvement when second in her last start over 1250m on this course. She moved up like a winner that day, but was outrun late by You Win Again. The daughter of Lancaster Bomber should have no issues with the drop to 1000m and in this field, she can go one better
STRATA ran a good race when third over this C&D last time. The daughter of Canford Cliffs has been costly to follow, but cannot be ignored.
AMETHYSTIC showed good speed over this C&D last time, but found one too good in the form of Kythera. Grant van Niekerk takes the ride and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of her where it matters most.
Race 2
ELLORIX ran a good race when third over this C&D last time. She challenged strongly all the way to the line, but was outrun late. The daughter of Vercingetorix is a progressive type and with a bit of luck in running, she can win a race of this nature.
GO LIKE FLO did not go on with the effort over 1600m last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. She drops to the 1250m and on best form shown, she should pose a threat to the top choice.
MONTREAL finished 1.75 lengths behind the second selection last time. Her penultimate run when third over 1200m was encouraging. She will enjoy the drop in distance and must be included in all bets.
Race 3
RAINBOW LORIKEET has shown good improvement in each of her outings. She rallied late when third over this distance at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth last time. It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won since. Aldo Domeyer takes the ride and from pole position, she should find herself in the winner’s enclosure.
ENCHANTED SKY ran a decent race when fourth over 1250m on this course last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. She has cracked a good draw of two and is one of the leading contenders.
WHAT NOW MY GAL returns from KZN. She finished third in her only attempt on this course. She tries the 1400m for the first time and if seeing out the extra distance on offer, she should earn another cheque.
Race 4
TRIPPI‘S SILK did not settle in his last start over 1400m on this course, but the manner in which he stayed on at the finish was encouraging. The son of Trippi is a progressive type and if switching off early, he may be the one to beat.
ALL ABOUT RONNIE has decent recent form lines to his credit. He would have come on from his last start and should strip much fitter. Bernard Fayd’Herbe retains the ride and the combination must be included in all bets.
RENOWNED stayed on when third over this distance at Fairview last time. He carries a handy galloping mass of 52.5kgs and from pole position, he should be involved in the fight to the finish.
Race 5
This is a competitive Class 5 field and caution is advised. The tentative first selection is NO APOLOGIES from the Candice Bass-Robinson stable. He won a good race when shedding his maiden tag over this C&D last time. He was reported to have cast a shoe in running that day which makes the effort that much more encouraging. He takes on stronger, but has plenty of scope and should be up to the task at hand.
LUCE VERDE won a game race when shedding his maiden tag over this C&D last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished fourth that day has come out and won since. He does face stronger, but is progressive and should give a good account of himself.
LIKETHECLAPPERS has decent consistent form lines to his credit. He is having his peak run today and should be cherry-ripe. From pole position, he should run into the money.
Race 6
KATSU finished 0.05 lengths behind GENTLEMAN JOE last time. He is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. The son of Louis The King should have no issues with the step up to 2000m and from pole position, he can return to winning ways.
GENTLEMAN JOE ran a good race when second over 1600m on this course last time. It must be noted that Rule Of Thumb has come out and won again since. He will strip much fitter and must be included in all bets.
TWICE THE MASTER stayed on when third over 1800m on this course, last time. The blinkers seem to have done the trick on the son of Twice Over. He will strip much fitter and can feature.
Race 7
AMONG THE CLOUDS followed up her maiden victory with a good second-place finish over this C&D. She received a bump leaving the start, but the manner in which she finished off her race was encouraging. The daughter of Lancaster Bomber meets a similar line-up this afternoon and with luck in running, she should be the one to beat.
MISTY CLIFFS should have finished closer to the winner last time as she was held up for a run at the 100m mark. She takes a drop-in class and from her good draw of three, she should pose a threat.
CALLMEGETRIX ran on powerfully when shedding her maiden tag over this distance last time. The daughter of Vercingetorix takes on stronger, but she has plenty of scope and should be up to the task at hand.
Race 8
CANDY TOWN followed up her maiden win with an ultra-impressive victory over this C&D. She showed good speed that day, found another kick and won with a ton in hand. She received a seven-pound penalty for that victory. The daughter of Querari looks to be above average and she can notch up the hat-trick.
FLYING FIRST stayed on when fourth over 1400m on this course last time. She drops to the 1000m and will be mowing down the frontrunners.
PALO QUEEN finished 2.5 lengths behind the top choice last time. She is 4kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned.
Race 9
MOYA WA LALIGA showed good speed when second in his last start over this C&D. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. He would have come on from the run and against similar company, he should be the one to beat.
LINES CROSSED was ultra-impressive when winning the Non-Black Type Cape Racing Farm Sale Stakes last time. It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won since. Grant van Niekerk retains the ride and the pair merit healthy respect.
DOUBLE OLYMPIC won a good race on debut over 1200m at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth. He returns from a 12-week break, during which time he would have strengthened up. He could be anything and with luck in running, he can remain unbeaten
