Race 1
STRATA is better than her last start over 1250m as she was reported to be not striding out. Her form prior to that outing was consistent. She has finished second twice and third once from four starts over this distance. The daughter of Canford Cliffs jumps from a good draw of three and can shed her maiden tag.
FUTURE STAR was in need of her debut effort over this distance at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth. She returns from a 19-week break during which time she would have strengthened up. The daughter of Futura has plenty of scope and with luck in running, she may be competitive.
PONTE VECCHIO‘S last three starts have been fair. She is back against her own sex this afternoon and from pole position, she can earn another cheque for her patrons.
Race 2
CONNERY produced a promising debut effort over this C&D. He raced from just off the pace and stayed on nicely to finish third. The son of What A Winter would have gained from the experience and should have the natural improvement to come. With a bit of luck from barrier eleven, he should find himself in the winner’s enclosure.
HEAD GIRL ran a creditable race in her comeback run over this C&D. She showed good pace and stayed on at the finish. The daughter of Duke Of Marmalade would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. She shows good speed and should give the males a run for their money.
GRAVITY has shown improvement in each of his outings to date. It must be noted that the horse that finished second in his last start has come out and won since. He should have no issues with the drop to 1000m and may have more to come.
Race 3
AFTER THE RAIN finished 0.05 lengths behind SILVER FALCON last time. He is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. He would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. He is likely to race on the speed once again and should be hard to peg back.
SILVER FALCON is a winner of his last five starts. He has won three times and finished third once from as many starts over this C&D. He always gives of his best and can win again.
SPEED MACHINE finished 5.55 lengths behind the second selection last time. He is 4.5kgs better off at the weights today and should finish closer as a result.
Race 4
PRINCESS IZZY showed good improvement when second in her last start over 1250m on this course. She was slow into stride, but moved up well and challenged strongly all the way to the line. The daughter of Master Of My Fate will love the rise to 1400m. She is a progressive type and with Grant van Niekerk in the saddle, she may be the one to beat.
SUN SPECTACULAR finished 1.55 lengths behind the top choice last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and she may have to settle for the same result.
PINSTRIPE finished 3.3 lengths behind the top selection on debut. She would have gained from the experience and should love the extra distance on offer. With the natural improvement that is expected, she should have a say in the outcome of this contest.
Race 5
TWO A PENNY showed very good improvement when second in her last start over 1200m at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth. The manner in which she ran on at the finish that day was encouraging. The daughter of Twice Over will love the rise to 1400m and she should strip much fitter. She jumps from a handy draw of five and may be the one to side with.
TIME FOR LOVE produced a promising debut effort over 1250m on this course. She understandably raced green, but the manner in which she stayed on at the finish was encouraging. The daughter of Time Thief would have come on from the run and should make the natural progression.
GIMMETHELIMELIGHT has improved in her last two starts after given a 10-week break. She is having her peak run today and will be cherry-ripe. She jumps from a good draw of three and must be included in all bets.
Race 6
APACHE CHIEF ran a good race when second over 1400m on this course last time. He challenged strongly that day, but found one too good in the form of Lexican Point. The son of Lancaster Bomber will love the rise to the mile and can go one better.
GET IMPRESSED finished 0.05 lengths behind the top choice last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and there should not be much separating them in the run down to the line.
NAUSHON ran on from last when second over this C&D. He has cracked a good draw of four and if not too far out of his ground turning from home, he should be involved at the finish
Race 7
PINEAPPLE EXPRESS is better than his last start over 1400m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. He returns from a 13-week break which may have done him the world of good. He won his only attempt over this C&D. The son of William Longsword races well fresh and from his handy draw of four, he is capable of returning to winning ways.
KIMBALL O’HARA ran on well when second over 1400m on this course. The manner in which he finished off that race suggests that he will love the rise to the mile. With luck in running, he should pose a massive threat.
RULE OF THUMB won his last start over this C&D at a nice price. He ran on well and lasted long enough. He is likely to adopt the same tactics and will be mowing down the frontrunners.
Race 8
GIMME‘S LASSIE was slow into stride over 1200m in the Listed Olympic Duel Stakes last time, but stayed on nicely at the finish. She would have come on from the run and will strip much fitter. The daughter of Gimmethegreenlight is unbeaten from two starts on this course and she will be looking to keep that record intact.
WE‘RE JAMMING ran a good race in the Grade 3 Champagne Stakes last time when second to Rio Querari. He returns from an 18-week break which may have done him the world of good. If not in need of this run, he should go close to winning.
MEU CAPITANO followed up his debut victory with a good second-place finish over 1000m at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth. He does take a steep rise in class, but carries a handy galloping mass of 53.5kgs and should be up to the task at hand.
Race 9
UNCONQUERABLE LADY ran on from last when fifth over this C&D last time. She jumps from a good draw of three today which is a big advantage. The daughter of Danon Platina should race closer to the speed and she can return to winning ways.
EASY MONEY was caught in the shadow of the post by Creme Brulee in her last start over this C&D. She does take on stronger company, but carries a handy galloping mass and should be up to the task at hand.
ALLENDE is better than her last start over 1400m. She returns from a 14-week break which may have done her the world of good. She finished second in all three of her C&D attempts to date. She jumps from a good draw of two and if not in need of the run, she should have a say
