ONO NO KOMACHI ran a good race when second in her local debut effort over 1400m on this course. She ran on well before getting caught late by Mayor Of Merrivale. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. The daughter of One World should have no issues with the rise to 1900m and in this line-up, she should take a power of beating.

ANGEL OF MY HEART has decent form lines to her credit. She was unlucky not to have won her last start over 1600m on the polytrack. From her good draw of four, she should be the one to fill the exacta spot.

A MONTH OF SUNDAYS was disappointing in her last start over 2400m on this course. Her penultimate run when second over 2000m on the polytrack was encouraging. She is back against her own sex and can earn a cheque for her patrons.

RACE 3

MILLENNIUM DANCER has fair recent form lines to her credit. She did not go on with the effort over this C&D, against male company last time. The daughter of Flower Alley has dropped in the ratings. She is back against her own sex and may be the one to side with in this line-up.

LOTUS ISLAND was an easy winner when shedding her maiden tag over this distance on the polytrack last time. The daughter of Ideal World takes on stronger, but she has plenty of scope and should be up to the task at hand.

GALAXY MOMENT showed improvement in her last start over this C&D. She was slow into stride, but stayed on to finish third. The daughter of Coup De Grace takes on weaker and would not be a shock winner.

RACE 4

NOTHINGELSEMATTERS fought hard last time but was touched off by Harold The Duke. He won a good race in his penultimate effort over this C&D. The son of Elusive Fort meets a similar field this afternoon and can bring up his fourth-career victory.

PUERTO PLATA finished 4 lengths behind the top selection last time. He is 4kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish.

GARDENER’S PRIDE stayed on when second over 2000m on this course last time. He should have no issues with the rise to 2400m and from his good draw of four, he should have a say in the outcome of this contest.

RACE 5

MASTER FORESTER was an easy winner of his last start over 1400m on this course. He ran on well and quickened away from the opposition. The blinkers have done the trick on the son of Master Of My Fate. He jumps from a good draw of two and he can follow up with another victory.

GOLD GUNNER stayed on when fourth over 1600m on the polytrack last time. He has won once and finished third once from as many starts over this C&D. It is encouraging that Luyolo Mxothwa is back in the saddle and he is one of the leading contenders.

GRANDIOSA is having her first run for the Kelly Mitchley stable. She is likely to be settled near the rear of the field from her awkward draw of nine and will be mowing down the frontrunners.

Race 6

KHAYA’S HOPE challenged strongly in the Non-Black Type Fairview Merchants, but found one too good in the form of Evies First. He has won three times and finished second once from five starts over this C&D. He would have come on from his last outing and should strip much fitter. The son of The United States can go one better.

LUNA HALO won the Non-Black Type Lady’s Bracelet easier than the official margin suggests. She has won three times and finished second twice from five starts over this distance. The daughter of Fire Away should give the males a run for their money.

TEATRO finished 4 lengths behind the top choice last time. He is 4.5kgs worse off at the weights today and may battle to turn the form around.

RACE 7

LIGHT OF DAY ran a good race when third over this C&D last time. The manner in which she finished off her race that day was encouraging. She takes a slight drop in class and if not too far out of her ground turning for home, she should find herself in the winner’s enclosure.

WALKONTHEWILDSIDE should have finished closer to the winner last time as she had to be steadied at the 150m mark. The daughter of Gimmethegreenlight will love the longer run-in and with luck in running, she should pose a massive threat.

MS PATTY fought back well to win her maiden over this C&D. The blinkers and change of scenery did the trick. She takes on stronger, but has plenty of scope and should be up to the task at hand.

RACE 8

SEATTLE RIPPER has consistent form lines to his credit. He finished 1.05 lengths behind WORDSWORTH in his penultimate run. He is 1kg better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish. Both his career victories have come over this distance and he can return to winning ways.

WORDSWORTH has finished second in his last three starts, the latest of which was over this C&D. Chad Little retains the ride and the combination merit healthy respect.

CAPTAIN TIK TOK ran a fair race in his last start over this C&D. It must be noted that Bomber Girl has come out and won again since. He will strip a much fitter horse and will run another honest race
