wf.logoWinning Form selections for Hollywoodbets Greyville on Monday 18th October where there is R1.9M up for grabs for players who can correctly tip the whole card

Race 1

BEECHAMWOOD BOY produced a promising debut effort over this C&D. He understandably raced green, but the manner in which he finished off his race was eye-catching. The son of Eightfold Path would have gained from the experience and with the natural improvement that is expected, he can shed his maiden tag.

IRON BARK raced wide in his last start over 1000m on this course, but stayed on nicely to finish third. The blinkers seem to have done the trick with the son of Flower Alley and with S’manga Khumalo back in the irons, he should pose a massive threat.

LOVE ON TIME was a tad disappointing in his last start over this distance at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. He returns from an 18-week break, during which time he was gelded. The son of Pomodoro tries the Polytrack and if suited to the surface, he should be competitive.

Race 2

POPPY OF BAYEUX has finished third in all four of her outings to date. She showed good speed in her comeback run over this distance at Hollywoodbets Scottsville but was outrun in the latter stages. The daughter of William Longsword gets the tongue-tie fitted for the first time which may do the trick. She is having her first run on the Polytrack and if suited to the surface, she may be the one to beat.

CAPE PRINCESS ran a decent race when taking on males in her last start over 1400m on this course. Her best effort to date has been over this C&D. She is back against her own sex and from pole position, she should be one of the leading contenders.

PERFECT APPEAL produced a good effort when finishing second over this C&D last time. She raced from a handy position, but found one too good in the form of Casa Rosada. She does have a wide draw to overcome, but gets the services of S’manga Khumalo who will give her all the necessary assistance from the saddle.

Race 3

HEAD GARDENER was unlucky not to have won his last start as he had to be eased at the 300m mark. The manner in which he finished his race off that day was encouraging. The son of Flower Alley is a progressive type and should be cherry-ripe. With a bit of luck in running, he can shed his maiden tag.

BOURBON BEAT is the stable companion of the top choice. He set the pace on a rain-affected Polytrack last time, but his pilot dropped his crop. Jason Gates retains the ride and he will be looking to make amends.

JACK IN THE BOX ran a decent race when finishing second over 2000m last time. He returns from a 17-week break this afternoon. On best form shown, he is capable of winning in this type of field.

Race 4

PORT ADELAIDE ran a good race when finishing second in her local debut over 1800m on this course. She raced from a handy position but was outrun in the latter stages. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. The daughter of Adelaide should strip much fitter and can go one better.

CASHEW has had to overcome a wide draw in her last two starts on the turf track. She will love the rise to the mile and has cracked a good draw of two. Tristan Godden is riding at the top of his game and the combination merit healthy respect.

IQEMBULABESIFAZANE showed very good improvement in her last start over this C&D. The manner in which she stayed on at the finish that day was encouraging. If repeating that effort today, she should run a big race.

Race 5

CRIMSON CAUSEWAY ran a decent race when finishing third over 1100m on this course last time. The daughter of Gimmethegreenlight will love the step up to the mile and with a bit of luck from the widest draw, she can return to winning ways.

NAVAL SECRET finished 0.9 lengths behind PINK FLOYD last time. He is 1kg better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair.

PINK FLOYD was running on too late over 1400m on the turf last time. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. He has struck up a good partnership with Tristan Godden and merits healthy respect.

Race 6

JACKSON WELLS won a good race when winning her last start over 1400m on this course. The manner in which she finished off her race that day was impressive. She jumps from a good draw of three and takes a slight drop in class. Ashton Arries takes the ride and she can follow up.

QUEPID’S last two starts have been fair. The daughter of Querari has won her only attempt over this C&D. She gets the services of 4kgs claiming apprentice Rachel Venniker and from pole position, she should be competitive.

AISLING was not disgraced when finishing fifth in the Grade 1 Thekwini Stakes last time. The daughter of Visionaire returns from an 11-week break which would have done her the world of good. She does have a wide draw to overcome, but should use her early gate speed to get across without using up too much energy.

Race 7

PATRONAGE was given a peach of a ride when winning his last start over this C&D. He raced from a handy position and showed good guts to notch up the victory. 4kgs claiming apprentice Rachel Venniker retains the ride and the combination should follow up.

WHAT A BLAST was running on well to finish second over 1200m on this course last time. He has won twice, finished second once and third once from 11 starts over this distance. Should the top choice fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.

CALGARY finished 0.9 lengths behind the second choice last time. He is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and should run a big race.

Race 8

BRANDENBURG set the pace in his last start and stayed on to finish second over 1700m. He won a good race over this C&D in his penultimate start. He is likely to have his own way in front and may be hard to peg back.

RUNNING FREELY’S last two starts have been good. He challenged strongly last time, but found one too good in the form of Patronage. He has his first run for the Gary Rich stable and should give another good account of himself.

FOREST JUMP has not finished too far off the winner in recent outings. He has finished second twice and third once from four starts over this C&D. If keeping on a straight line, he should go close to winning.

Race 9

NOT NOW PUSSYCAT won a very good race in her last start over this C&D. She was reported to be cut into that day which makes the effort that much more encouraging. Apprentice Thabiso Gumede retains the ride and with a bit of luck from her wide draw, she can follow up.

CAPRICCIO has not finished too far off the winner in recent outings. She drops back to the 1200m and with Muzi Yeni in the saddle, she will be staying on strongly at the finish.

HARPER’S DREAM showed good signs of a form return in her last start over 1400m on this course. The daughter of Querari takes a slight drop in class and from pole position, she should fight out the finish
