WOZA NAWE rallied late when second over 1200m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville last time. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. She is drawn widest of all in barrier 13 but gets the services of Gavin Lerena who will give her all the necessary assistance from the saddle.
GREENLIGHT QUEEN stayed on when fourth over 1100m on this course, on debut. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. She will love the rise in distance and should make the natural improvement.
Race 2
SUN IN MY POCKET cost herself winning last time as she lost four lengths leaving the start. The manner in which she finished off her race that day was eye-catching. She will strip a much fitter horse and if getting away to a clean break, she should give the males a run for their money.
LADY OF VIX produced a promising debut effort over this distance at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. She has been carded to race a couple of times since, but has been withdrawn. If not in need of the run, she should throw out a big challenge to the top choice.
MIND MAP stayed on when second over this distance on the polytrack last time. He would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. He is carded to race on 06 November 2024 and his progress in that race will need to be monitored.
Race 3
ASPOESTERTJIE stayed on strongly when second over 1400m on the polytrack last time. She has won over this C&D previously. She takes a slight drop in class and may be the one to side with.
SPIRITED FLIGHT won a good race over this distance on the polytrack last time. She finished 3.8 lengths behind the top choice, three runs ago. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and she may have to settle for the same result.
BLOWIN IN THE WIND just held on when winning her maiden last time. She finished 0.8 lengths behind HOT LAVA in her penultimate run. She is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned.
Race 4
MOCHA BLEND caught the eye when third on debut over 1400m on the polytrack. She lost two lengths leaving the start, understandably raced green and hung in the straight. The daughter of Ideal World would have gained from the experience and should love the rise to 1900m. With the natural improvement that is expected, she should find herself in the winner’s enclosure.
QUEEN OF THE AIR ran on from last when third over 1400m on debut. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. She would have gained from the experience and there should be improvement to come.
FLYING HAFLA is lightly raced with good form lines to her credit. The manner in which she finished off her last start suggests that she will love the rise to 1900m. She jumps from a handy draw of four and merits healthy respect.
Race 5
MR HOTSTEPPER won a good race when shedding his maiden tag at the second time of asking. He raced wide around the turn, but quickened up well and kept finding all the way to the line. The son of Ideal World will love the rise to 1900m and he has plenty of scope. From pole position, he can follow up with another victory.
FRENCH TRIP has consistent form lines to his credit. He finished 1.4 lengths behind VIEW OF THE WORLD in his penultimate run. He is 7.5kgs better off at the weights today and should turn the form around.
HIGH QUEUE hails from the visiting Clinton Binda stable. He raced from a handy position over 1800m at Turffontein last time, but found one too good in the form of Diwali Rocket. If all went well with his travels, he should be right there.
Race 6
CAPE EAGLE was unlucky not to have won the Non-Black Type PinkDrive Michaelmas Handicap last time. He finished third before getting promoted to second. The 7yo gelding won his only attempt over this C&D. He is the class horse in the race and should return to winning ways.
NATYAM cost himself winning last time as he hung inwards in the straight. He finished second before getting demoted to third. The son of Noble Tune may be the one to fill the exacta spot.
QUEUE WING is better than his last three starts. He won his only attempt over this C&D. On best form shown, he would not be a shock winner.
Race 7
PINK DIAMOND finished 0.5 lengths behind GREENLITEALLTHEWAY last time. She is 3kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. She has cracked a good draw of four and if jumping on terms, she can return to winning ways.
GREENLITEALLTHEWAY followed up her maiden victory with a creditable third-place finish over this distance on the polytrack. She has plenty of scope and will love the switch to the turf. With luck in running, she should be competitive.
THE QUEEN BEE finished 1.45 lengths behind the second selection last time. If finding the form of her penultimate run, she should have a say in the outcome of this contest.
Race 8
IMMAH was his own worst enemy leaving the start last time as he lost two lengths. The manner in which he stayed on at the finish that day was encouraging. The son of What A Winter takes a drop in class and jumps from pole position. If jumping on terms with Rachel Venniker aboard, he should be the one to beat.
INTREPID rallied late when third over this C&D last time. It is encouraging that Gavin Lerena is booked to ride and if this run has not come too soon, he should pose a threat.
TRAFALGAR SQUARE has decent recent form lines to his credit. He has won once and finished third twice from eight starts over this C&D. He is likely to race on the speed and may be hard to peg back
