Race 1

BUZZ BOMB ran a good race when second over this distance at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth last time. He found one too good in the form of World Of Pleasure that day. The son of Lancaster Bomber is a progressive type and can go one better.

MY BOY LOLLIPOP produced a promising debut effort over 1200m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. He challenged strongly all the way to the line, but found one too good in the form of Isivivane. The son of Soqrat would have come on from the run and if not too green around the turn, he should be competitive.

GORGEOUS DUDE should have finished closer to the winner last time as he clipped heels at the 1200m mark. If finding the form of his penultimate run, he should be involved at the finish

Race 2

COPACABANA produced a promising debut effort over 1200m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. She raced from just off the pace and stayed on nicely at the finish. The daughter of Querari would have gained from the experience and should love the rise to the mile. With the natural improvement that is expected, she should be the one to beat.

EXTRACTION should have finished closer to the winner last time as she hung on the turn. She has scope and if seeing out the mile, she should throw out a big challenge to the top choice.

CITY LIGHTS hails from the visiting Fanie Bronkhorst stable. Her last three starts have been fair. She is carded to race on 11 April 2024 and her progress in that race will need to be monitored.

Race 3

CONVOCATION is a winner of her last two starts over this distance at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. She showed good pace last time and fought hard all the way to the line. She gets the services of 4kgs claiming apprentice Brevan Plaatjies and if suited to the polytrack, she can notch up the hat-trick.

RED ROSES TOO is better than her last start over 1000m on the turf. She is unbeaten from two starts over this C&D. Should the top choice fluff her lines, she may be the one to pick up the pieces.

CERTAINLY won a good race in her last start over 1000m on the turf. She returns from a 23-week break which would have done her the world of good. It is encouraging that Richard Fourie retains the ride and if fit, she should have a say.

Race 4

LONGSWORD was an easy winner of his last start over this distance on the Turffontein Inside course. The son of William Longsword received a seven-pound penalty for that victory and he rises in class. However, he may be ahead of the handicapper and if suited to this course, he can follow up. He is carded to race on 13 April 2024 and his progress in that race will need to be monitored.

DIANI’S last three starts have been fair. It must be noted that the form of his last outing has been franked. With a bit of luck from his awkward draw of nine, he should be right there at the finish.

MR HENLEY stayed on when third over this distance on the turf last time. He has won twice, finished second once and third once from as many starts over this C&D. He is likely to race on the speed from the widest draw and may be hard to peg back.

Race 5

PHAKA IMALI was given a peach of a ride when winning his last start over this C&D. Three of his four career victories have come over this C&D. He jumps from pole position and despite his big mass of 61kgs, he can follow up.

DARK TIDE showed signs of a form return in his last start over 1000m at the Vaal. He won his only attempt over this C&D. The blinkers seem to have done the trick and he is one of the leading contenders.

PURPLE POWAHOUSE has good consistent form lines to his credit. Three of his four career victories have come over this C&D. If getting away to a clean start, he may be rewarded for consistency.

Race 6

KUMEMORI ran a good race when third over 1200m on this course last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. He won his only attempt over this C&D. The son of Gold Standard takes a drop in class and from pole position, he can return to winning ways.

JOSHUA HOTSNAKE has finished second in his last three starts. He has won twice, finished second once and third once from five starts over this C&D. He is likely to race on the speed and merits healthy respect.

CERULEAN DANCER has good consistent form lines to her credit. Two of her three career victories have come over this distance. If all went well with her travels, she should give the males a run for their money.

Race 7

WYATT’S CHOICE was unlucky not to have won his last start over this C&D as he was carried outwards at the 150m mark. He is likely to be settled near the rear of the field once again and with a bit of luck in running, he should go one better.

BANZAI PIPELINE stayed on when third over 1950m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville last time. He takes a drop in class and with Richard Fourie back in the saddle, he should pose a massive threat.

STRAIGHT UP has produced two decent comeback efforts over this C&D. Four of his eight career victories have come over this C&D. He will be at peak fitness and cannot be ignored
