Race 1
AN AIR OF PRIDE rallied late when second over this distance on the Polytrack last time. She meets the right field today and unless one of the first-timers have ability, she can go one better.
SEA OF TEARS has fair recent form lines to her credit. She has finished second once and third twice from seven starts over this distance. Muzi Yeni is booked to ride and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of her where it matters most.
MASCHERINA is an unraced daughter of Gimmethegreenlight from the Peter Muscutt stable with Richard Fourie in the saddle. She is related to Grade 1 winner Malmoos. If not too green, she should start her career on a positive note. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to her and the other unraced entrants.
Race 2
DYMONDIA is one of the better bets on the card. She ran on well when second over 1700m on the Polytrack last time. The daughter of Greys Inn will love the rise to 1900m. Richard Fourie is booked to ride and she should be the one to beat.
ELUSIVE BELLE stayed on when second over 1400m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville last time. The daughter of Royal Mo will be at home over 1900m. With a bit of luck from her awkward draw of nine, she should pose a massive threat.
STYLE ICON has been a tad disappointing in her last two starts. Her effort when second over 1600m on this course, three runs ago was encouraging. The combination of Mike Miller and Tristan Godden are in fine form and she must be included in all bets.
Race 3
BOSNAY finished 0.85 lengths behind RECKLESS LOVE last time. She is 1kg better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating them at the wire. She is at her best on the turf and if Richard Fourie is able to switch her off early, she can notch up her second career victory.
EA GODDESS has decent recent form lines to her name. She takes a drop-in class and despite her big mass of 61kgs, she should be competitive.
LADY TIPTREE ran a fair race over 1600m on this course last time. The daughter of Duke Of Marmalade should have no issues with the rise to 1900m. She drops in class and with the services of 4kgs claiming apprentice Nirvan Nastili, she can cause the upset.
Race 4
ALLAROUNDTHEWORLD has improved in his last two starts. His penultimate run when third over 1400m on this course was eye-catching. The son of Oasis Dream tries the 1800m for the first time and should have no issues with the extra. Richard Fourie retains the ride and with luck in running, he can return to winning ways.
RAVENS SWORD raced from a handy position over this distance on the Polytrack last time and stayed on at the finish. If repeating that effort in this line-up, he should pose a massive threat.
TIME TAKER is better than his last start as the jockey reported something to be amiss. His three starts prior to that outing were good. Apprentice Brevan Plaatjies takes the 4kgs off his back which will help his cause. On best form shown, he should be competitive.
Race 5
WAR EMPRESS was not disgraced when third against stronger company in her last start over this distance at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. The manner in which she stayed on at the finish that day was encouraging. She takes a drop-in class and with luck in running, she should be the one to beat.
CHELSEA FLOWER’S last three starts have been good. It must be noted that multiple horses from her last form line have come out and won since. She shows good speed in her races and the 1000m should not pose an issue. Should the top choice fluff her lines, she may be the one to pick up the pieces.
CONTRA FISCUM was super-impressive when winning her stable debut over 1200m on the polytrack. She set the pace, found another kick and won with a ton in hand. She takes on stronger, but has plenty of scope and should be up to the task at hand.
Race 6
ALL THE TIME was unlucky not to have won his last start as he was inconvenienced at the 1000m mark. The manner in which he finished off his race that day was encouraging. He has won once, finished second once and third once from six starts over this C&D. With luck in running, he can return to winning ways.
WINTER WAVES stayed on when second over this distance on the Polytrack last time. 4kgs claiming apprentice Nirvan Nastili takes the ride and he is one of the leading contenders.
BUSTER KEATON moved up like a winner last time, but was caught late. He finished second over this C&D in his penultimate start. Richard Fourie is booked to ride and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of him where it matters most.

LUCKY MISS stayed on when fourth over 1600m on this course last time. She has won three times, finished second three times and third twice from nine starts over this distance. She takes a drop-in class and has cracked a good draw of two. On best form shown, she should notch up her fifth career victory.
FAIZAH raced from a handy position over 1600m last time and stayed on at the finish. She has won once and finished second once from as many starts over this distance. She is having her peak run today and will be cherry-ripe. With a bit of luck from the widest draw, she should pose a threat. SLEEK AS SILK ran a fair race over this distance last time. She has won once and finished third once from four starts on this course. She will be mowing down the frontrunners.
Race 8
INTREPID was not disgraced when fourth in his last start over this C&D. The manner in which he stayed on at the finish that day was encouraging. He takes a drop-in class and from his good draw of two, he should be the one to beat.
RAFIKI finished 0.4 lengths behind LAKE COMO last time. He is 2.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. He will be mowing down the frontrunners in the run down to the line.
