LASHLAROO produced an eye-catching debut effort over this C&D, last week Wednesday. He lost a length leaving the start, but finished his race off strongly. The son of Erupt looks to have ability and if this run has not come too soon, he may be the one to beat.
ANDY COOGLE is better than his last start over 1600m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. His best career effort has come over this distance. Should the top choice fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces
WARHAWK BOMBER was disappointing in his last start over 1600m. His penultimate run when third over 1400m on this course was eye-catching. Richard Fourie takes the ride and he cannot be ignored.
Race 2
PHAKA IMALI stayed on when third over this C&D last time. He returns from an 11-week break which may have done him the world of good. He has won once, finished second twice and third once from eight starts over this C&D. If not in need of the run, he can notch up his third career victory.
TRADE WAR showed good signs of a form return in his last start over this distance on the turf. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. He has dropped to a competitive rating and is one of the leading contenders.
DROGARATI showed signs of needing his last start over this distance on the turf. He would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. The 6yo gelding will be mowing down the frontrunners.
Race 3
HIPPOCRATES set the pace over this C&D last time and stayed on well to finish third. He has won twice and finished third once from five starts over this C&D. If this run has not come too soon, he should fight out the finish.
MAJORCA PALACE finished 1.3 lengths behind the top choice last time. He is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair in the run down to the line.
LAZY GUY ran on well when second over this distance on the turf last time. The tongue-tie seems to have done the trick. He is better suited to the turf, but is in a good space and cannot be ignored.

MR MASTER STARTER stayed on when second over 1400m on the turf last time. He finished 1.7 lengths behind PROUD MASTER, three runs ago. He is 2.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. The 5yo gelding will be mowing down the frontrunners.
PROUD MASTER ran on well when winning his last start over this C&D. Four of his six career victories have come over this C&D. He is in a good space and merits healthy respect.
BLACK EGRET showed good speed when winning his last start over this distance on the Turffontein Inside course. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. If suited to the polytrack, he can follow up.

WAR EMPRESS finished 2.05 lengths behind VISION OF WILL last time. She is 2.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. She is having her peak run today and should be cherry-ripe. From pole position, she is capable of returning to winning ways.
FASHION MISTRESS finished 1.2 lengths behind VISION OF WILL in the race referred to above. She is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish
WILL O ME has shown signs of a form return in her last two starts. She has dropped to a competitive rating and is capable of winning a race of this nature.
Race 6
DONTSHOOTTHEBARMAN finished 0.4 lengths behind ESQUEVELLE last time. He is 1.5kgs better off at the weights and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. He is better suited to the polytrack and may find himself in the winner’s enclosure.
ESQUEVELLE is a winner of his last two starts, the latest of which was over this distance on the turf. He is likely to race on the speed and can notch up the hat-trick.
PRINCEKRESH is better than his last start on the turf. His form prior to that outing was consistent. He runs well for Muzi Yeni and can earn another cheque for his patrons.
Race 7
JUSTFORTHEEPENNY was running on when second over 1600m on this course last time. He has finished second once and third once from three starts over this C&D. The 7yo gelding jumps from pole position and he can go one better.
FISH EAGLE ran a fair race against slightly stronger over 1600m last time. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. He tries the 1800m for the first time and if seeing out the extra distance on offer, he should pose a threat.
THUNDER MASALA showed good signs of a form return over 1600m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville last time. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. He jumps from a good draw of three and can finish in the placings.
Race 8
HUGSANDHIGHFIVES raced from a handy position over 1200m on this course last time, rallied late but was touched off by Red Roses Too. She has finished second once and third once from as many starts over this distance. She is drawn widest of all, but gets the services of Richard Fourie who will give her all the necessary assistance from the saddle.
STING RAY raced wide around the turn last time, but stayed on to finish second. The removal of the blinkers seems to have done the trick. She jumps from a handy draw of four and can feature.
STAR CHOICE finished 2.75 lengths behind the top choice in her penultimate run. She is 1kg better off at the weights today and should finish closer as a result.
Race 9
ISORENDER has shown good improvement in each of his outings to date. He raced from a handy position over 1400m on the turf last time and stayed on well to finish second. The son of Mambo In Seattle should love the rise to the mile and he can go one better in this line-up.
MORNING CHESS should have finished closer to the winner last time as he hung in the closing stages. If keeping on a straight line, he should throw out a big challenge to the top choice.
