Race 1
THREE COINS has shown improvement in each of her outings to date. She was slow into stride over 1000m last time and stayed on to finish fourth. The daughter of Gimmethegreenlight would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. She gets the services of capable work rider Siphiwo Feni and the combination may find themselves in the winner’s enclosure.
ROGUE MALE finished 0.3 lengths behind the top selection last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and there should not be much separating them at the finish. NOON DAY GUN is better than his last start in the Okapi Ladies International. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. On his previous form, he should be involved in the fight to the finish.
Race 2
KAAPSE KLOPSE returns from a 10-week break, during which time he was gelded. It must be noted that multiple horses from his last form line have come out and won. He is a horse with ability and if not in need of the run, he may be the one to beat.
SOOTY has shown good improvement in each of his outings to date. He finished 0.3 lengths behind the top choice in his penultimate run. He is 0.5kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish.
IGUGULETHU ran a good race when third in his last start over this C&D. The son of Erupt is in a good space and will be mowing down the frontrunners.
Race 3
TOKYO PRINCESS showed good improvement in her last start over this C&D. She raced from a prominent position and stayed on to finish fourth. The daughter of Danon Platina is a progressive type and in this line-up, she can shed her maiden tag.
CABARET raced wide around the turn last time, moved up but was caught late by Grandiosa. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. Richard Fourie is booked to ride and should the top choice fluff her lines, she may be the one to pick up the pieces.
BLIND FAITH showed good improvement in her last start over this C&D. She has finished third in both her efforts over this C&D. From her good draw of three, she can earn another cheque for her patrons.
Race 4
MONT LOISIR is lightly raced with fair form lines to his credit. He returns from a 16-week break which may have done him the world of good. The 1400m should be right up his alley and if not in need of the run, he may be the one to beat.
INDECENT PROPOSAL stayed on when fifth over this C&D last time. He has to contend with the widest draw but with luck in running, he should throw out a big challenge to the top choice.
MYSTERY CACHE ran a fair race in his last start over 1200m on this course. His best career effort came over this distance on the Hollywoodbets Greyville polytrack. Sean Veale is booked to ride and he may be able to get the best out of him where it matters most.
Race 5
TICKING BOMB ran a good race when second in her last start over 1600m on this course. She raced from a handy position, moved up well but was caught late by Flamboyant Flyer. The daughter of Lancaster Bomber tries the 1800m for the first time and if seeing out the extra distance on offer, she should be hard to beat.
BASIC MANEUVERS finished 0.1 lengths behind the top choice last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and there should not be much separating the pair in the run down to the line.
WHISTLING DIXIE finished 0.4 lengths behind the top selection in the race referred to above. The manner in which she finished off her race that day suggests that she will love the rise to 1800m. The daughter of Zoffany is having her peak run today and should be involved at the finish.
Race 6
EXCEEDER is better than his last two starts against stronger company. He has won once, finished second once and third once from five starts over this C&D. The 6yo gelding drops in the ratings and in class. Luyolo Mxothwa is booked to ride and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of him where it matters most.
TWICE THE MASTER has fair recent form lines to his credit. It must be noted that the horse that finished second in his last outing has come out and won since. With a bit of luck in running, he can return to winning ways.
CARAMEL FUDGE finished 1.55 lengths behind the second choice last time. He is 1kg better off at the weights today and should finish closer as a result.
Race 7
QUATERMAIN set the pace over this C&D last time and lasted just long enough to notch up his second- career victory. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. The blinkers have done the trick on the son of Erupt. He is in a good space and should be hard to peg back.
KATSU has good recent form lines to his credit. He challenged strongly over this C&D last time, but was outrun late. If not in need of the run, he should throw out a big challenge to the top choice.
SLURRICANE was an easy winner of his last start over 1400m on this course. He has won once and finished third once from as many starts over this distance. The 5yo gelding takes a step up in class but is in a good space and should be up to the task at hand.
Race 8
MASTER OF PARIS was his own worst enemy over 1600m last time as he over raced in the early stages. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. The son of Master Of My Fate won his maiden over this distance. He is suited to Class 5 Company and from his good draw of two, he should be competitive.
FLY TO RIO ran a fair race last time, despite the saddle reported to have slipped. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. She is ideally C&D suited and should give the males a run for their money.
LIKETHECLAPPERS ran a fair race over this C&D last time. He finished 1 length behind the second selection in his penultimate run. The pair meet on the same weight terms and he may have to settle for the same result.
Race 9
HAMMIES HERO showed some signs of a form return in his last start over 1100m on this course. He should have finished closer to the winner that day as he had to be steadied at the 150m mark. The blinkers seem to have done the trick. He meets a similar line-up this afternoon and with luck in running, he should be the one to beat.
WYAG ran a good race when second over this C&D last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. He is in a good space and must be included in all bets.
WINTER PEARL has good recent form lines to his credit. He finished 0.8 lengths behind the second choice last time. He is 0.5kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish.
