Race 1

It must be noted that the form of her last outing has been franked. She returns from a 10-week break, which may have done her the world of good. She gets the services of capable work rider Louis Burke and if putting her best foot forward, she should give the males a run for their money.
MANEKI NEKO ran a good race when third in his last start over this C&D. He raced from just off the pace and stayed on at the finish. He is having his peak run today and is one of the leading contenders.
JET GREEN should have finished second in his last start over 1400m. He drops back to 1000m and if this run has not come too soon, he should be involved at the finish.
Race 2
IKO IKO showed improvement when third in his last start over this C&D. He raced from just off the pace and stayed on at the finish. It must be noted that the horse that finished fourth in that race has come out and won since. The son of Fire Away is a progressive type and in this field, he can shed his maiden tag.
BLOWIN IN THE WIND should have finished closer to the winner last time as she hung outwards throughout. If keeping on a straight line, she should pose a threat to the top choice.
MAKAZOLE was in need of his debut effort in the Non-Black Type Cape Racing Sales Cape Slipper. He would have come on from the run and against Maiden Company, he should make the natural improvement.
Race 3
SHEETS AND GOGGLES produced a promising debut effort over this C&D. She challenged strongly all the way to the line, but found one too good in the form of All Is Green. She found betting support that day which suggests that she was showing good work at home. The daughter of Gimmethegreenlight would have gained from the experience and with the natural improvement that is expected, she should take a power of beating.
IN THE GREEN ZONE tried hard in her last start over this C&D, but found one too good in the form of Gimmefabulous. She finished 0.3 lengths behind the top choice on debut. She is a progressive type and may be the one to fill the exacta spot.
PRISCILLA MAISEY finished 2.25 lengths behind the second selection on debut. She should have finished closer that day as she was cramped for galloping room at the 300m mark. Richard Fourie is booked to ride and there should be improvement to come.
Race 4
BLUE BAY was not disgraced when sixth in the Grade 3 Schweppes Politician Stakes last time. He finished second in his penultimate run over 1400m. The son of Silvano will be at home over the mile and back in Maiden Company, he should find himself in the winner’s enclosure.
VOORLOOPERTJIE produced a typical second run after a rest last time. He ran a good race when fourth in his penultimate start over 1400m on this course. He is having his peak run today and should the top choice fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.
WATER DRAGON produced a promising debut over 1400m on this course. He returns from a lengthy 38-week break, during which time he would have strengthened up. If not in need of this outing, he should give a good account of himself.
Race 5
PRETTY PRECIOUS showed good speed in her last start over this C&D, but found one too good in the form of Kyalami Girl. The daughter of Potala Palace is a progressive type and she is the stable elect with Luyolo Mxothwa in the saddle. She may be hard to peg back in the run down to the line.
LUCY ROCKET has produced two encouraging efforts over 1000m. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. The manner in which she finishes off her races suggests that she will love the rise to 1200m and she is one of the leading contenders.
CAPTAIN’S DESTINY finished 1.75 lengths behind the top choice last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and she may have to settle for the same result.
Race 6
QUESTIONING is better than his last start in the Grade 1 Hollywoodbets Cape Guineas. The son of Querari is unbeaten from two starts over this distance. Bernard Fayd’Herbe retains the ride and if putting his best foot forward, he should return to winning ways.
WECANGOALLNIGHT fought hard in his last start but was touched off by Promettere who has come out and won again since. He is in a good space and should fight out the finish.
ITSRAININGWILLIAM was an easy winner in his last start over this C&D. He finished 0.75 lengths behind the second choice in his penultimate run. He is 2.5kgs worse off at the weights today and may battle to turn the form around.
Race 7
COULDITBE has produced three decent efforts since winning her maiden over this distance at Hollywoodbets Durbanville. She was doing her best work late when fourth over 1800m last time. She drops back in class and with Aldo Domeyer back in the saddle, she can return to winning ways.
LOREINA should have finished closer to the winner last time as she was steadied at the 200m mark. She finished 2.4 lengths behind the top choice in her penultimate run. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and she may have to settle for the same result.
GRANDIOSA finished 0.1 lengths behind the second selection last time. She is 0.5kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating them at the finish.
Race 8
LINDBERGH rallied late when third in his last start over this C&D. It must be noted that Quatermain has come out and won again since. He finished 0.4 lengths behind GET IMPRESSED in his penultimate run. He is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. He does take a rise in class but carries a handy galloping mass of 53.5kgs and should be up to the task at hand.
GET IMPRESSED was not disgraced when fifth in the Grade 3 Schweppes Politician Stakes last time. He finished second in his previous two efforts over this C&D. With luck in running, he should be competitive.
PROMETTERE was an easy winner of his last start over this C&D. He received a six-pound penalty for that victory. He meets similar company this afternoon and can notch up the hat-trick
