DIVE BOMBER is an unraced son of Lancaster Bomber from the Lucinda Woodruff stable with Bonga Ncwadi in the saddle. He is related to two-time winner La Valliere. If not in need of the run, he should start his career on a positive note. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to his chances.

Race 2

INDIGENOUS is a son of Danon Platina from the Justin Snaith stable with Richard Fourie in the saddle. He is related to Desert Miracle who won six times and placed thirteen times from nineteen starts. If not in need of the run, he should start his career on a positive note.

CLIFFSCAPE produced a promising debut effort over this C&D. The daughter of Canford Cliffs would have gained from the experience and with the natural improvement that is expected, she should be competitive.

EXALTED LOVE ran a fair race on debut over this C&D. He would have come on from the run and can improve to finish in the first three.

Race 3

ARBITRATION should have finished closer to the winner over this C&D last time as he was held up for a run at the 200m mark. It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won since. The son of Vercingetorix will strip a much fitter horse. With a bit of luck in running, he should be the one to beat.

SCOTTISH LINKS challenged strongly over 1600m last time, but found one too good in the form of Bounceback. He should have no issues with the drop to 1400m. He jumps from a good draw of four and is one of the leading contenders.

AMANDLA NGAWETHU ran a fair race over 1200m last time. It must be noted that Golden Destiny has come out and won again since. The son of Rafeef is a progressive type and if not in need the run, he should have more to come.

Race 4

SUGARBUSH produced a promising debut effort over this C&D. The daughter of Trippi was green in running but finished off her race nicely. She would have gained from the experience and with the natural improvement that is expected, she may be the one to beat in this line-up.

HAPPY WIVES showed good improvement when second over this C&D last time. She showed speed before getting outrun late by Secret Passage. The daughter of Canford Cliffs is back against her own sex and she is one of the leading contenders.

ALESSIA ASHEVILLE ran a fair race over 1400m last time. She stayed on nicely at the finish that day. The daughter of Erupt has cracked a good draw of three and she can earn another cheque for her patrons.

 

 

Race 5

ELECTRIC FEELS has good consistent form lines to her credit. She raced from just off the pace over 1000m last time, but found one too good in the form of King Viserys. She meets a similar line-up this afternoon and may be the one to side with.

GRAVITY finished 1.4 lengths behind the top selection last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and he may have to settle for the same result. The removal of the blinkers may do the trick.

TRUE HORIZON should have finished closer last time as she had to be steadied at the 400m mark. If finding the form of her penultimate run, she should be involved in the fight to the finish.

Race 6

THE ABDICATOR showed good speed in his last start over this C&D, but found one too good in the form of Tenango. He has won three times, finished second twice and third once from seven starts over this C&D. The son of No Nay Never is having his first run for the Piet Steyn stable. Corne Orffer is booked to ride and he should be hard to peg back.

KELP FOREST is a winner of his last two starts. He received a five-pound penalty for his last victory. The son of Flower Alley is in a good space and can bring up the hat-trick.

ELUSIVE WINTER’S last three starts have been good. He has won twice from three starts over this C&D. The son of Captain Of All is likely to race on the speed and may be hard to peg back.

Race 7

CALLMEGETRIX has good consistent form lines to her credit. She may have cost herself winning last time as she over raced in the early stages. She has won once and finished third twice from as many starts over this C&D. If JP van der Merwe is able to switch her off early, she can notch up her fourth-career victory.

GOODNESSGRACIOUSME is better than her last start in the Grade 1 WSB Cape Fillies Guineas. The daughter of Gimmethegreenlight has plenty of scope and from her good draw of three, she should pose a massive threat.

MY FLOWER FATE should have finished closer to the winner last time as the saddle was reported to have slipped in running. She has won once and finished second once from as many starts over this C&D. If not in need of this outing, she can feature.

Race 8

COSMIC RHYTHM ran a fair race over this C&D last time. He stayed on at the finish but found one too good in the form of Okavango. This is a weak D Stakes field and he can go one better.

DAWN’S EARLY LIGHT finished 0.7 lengths behind the top selection last time. He is 0.5kgs worse off at the weights today. With a bit of luck in running, he should throw out a big challenge.

GOLDEN GREY ran a fair race over 1400m last time. He has finished second once and third once from three starts over this distance. On best form shown, he should be involved in the fight to the finish.

Race 9

SAINT BRIGID is better than her last three starts. She returns from an 11-week break, which may have done her the world of good. She finished second in her only attempt over this C&D. The daughter of Master Of My Fate takes a drop in class and it would not be a surprise to see her in the winner’s enclosure.

DREAM SEARCHER won a good race over this distance last time. It must be noted the form of that race has been franked. She is in a good space and in this field, she can follow up with another victory.

WARBIRD won a game race in her last start over this C&D. The blinkers did the trick on the daughter of Act Of War. She takes on stronger, but has plenty of scope and should be up to the task at hand
