Winning Form selections for @Hollywoodbets Kenilworth on Sunday 22nd December where there are huge prizes available in the free to enter Punters Challenge
Race 1
PHIL THE FLUTER stayed on at the finish over 1100m in a work riders contest last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished fourth that day has come out and won since. He will be ideally suited to 1200m and with Richard Fourie in the saddle, he may be the one to side with.
KAISARISSA showed some improvement in his last start over this C&D. The manner in which he stayed on at the finish that day was encouraging. The son of Vercingetorix is a progressive type and may have more to come.
MASTER BOMBER was doing his best work late when fifth over 1250m at Hollywoodbets Durbanville last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished fourth that day has come out and won since. If taking to this course, he should be involved at the finish.
Race 2
OCOTILLO should have finished closer to the winner last time as the saddle was reported to have slipped in running. Her debut when second over 1250m at Hollywoodbets Durbanville, catches the eye. The daughter of Querari should enjoy the drop to 1200m and she may be the one to beat.
CATCH A PENNY has run three good races to date. She gets the blinkers fitted for the first time which should keep her mind on the task at hand.
ANGEL‘S OASIS finished 0.3 lengths behind the second selection last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and there should not be much separating them at the finish. She is having her peak run today and will be cherry-ripe.
Race 3
MELA STRENGTH ran on from last when third over 1800m on this course last time. The son of Silvano is coming along the right way and is drawn in pole position. Calvin Habib is booked to ride and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of him where it matters most.
OZARK finished 3 lengths behind the top choice last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and he may have to settle for the same result. He has won twice, finished second once and third once from seven starts over this C&D. Richard Fourie steps back into the saddle and the combination cannot be ignored.
HANG OUT THE STARS won a good race over 1400m last time. She finished 0.3 lengths behind the second selection, three runs ago. She is 2.5kgs worse off at the weights and may battle to turn the form around.
Race 4
This is a weak Open Maiden for the girls and caution is advised. The tentative first selection is WEHAVEASITUATION from the Paddy Kruyer stable. She was not disgraced when fourth against winners in her last start over this distance. She is back in Maiden Company and with a bit of luck from her wide draw, she may be the one to beat.
GUSTO GIRL finished 0.5 lengths behind the top choice last time. She is 1.5kgs worse off at the weights today and may have to settle for the same result.
LITTLE LEXI has not finished too far off the winner in recent outings. She finished 1.05 lengths behind ALESSIA ASHEVILLE in her penultimate run. She is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish.
Race 5
BOUNCEBACK ran a good race when third over 1400m at Hollywoodbets Durbanville last time. He lost a length leaving the start, but the manner in which he stayed on at the finish was encouraging. It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won since. He should love the rise to 1600m and with a bit of luck from the widest draw, he should be the one to beat.
VICTOR HUGO tried hard when second in his last start over 1200m. It must be noted that the horse that finished fourth that day has come out and won since. The son of Danon Platina will love the rise to 1600m and from pole position, he is one of the leading contenders.
SCOTTISH LINKS finished 0.3 lengths behind ARIOVISTUS last time. He is 2kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. If seeing out the 1600m, he can feature.
Race 6
SOLOMONS SEAL has consistent form lines to his credit. He stayed on when fourth over 1400m on this course last time. He would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. He does have to contend with the widest draw, but gets the services of Gavin Lerena who will give him all the necessary assistance from the saddle.
PROMETTERE is better than his last two starts. He has won twice and finished second twice from nine starts over this C&D. He jumps from pole position and on best form shown, he can go close.
KING PELLES has very good recent form lines to his credit. The drop to 1600m is a slight concern but he is in a good space, and cannot be ignored.
Race 7
MEU CAPITANO was slow into stride in the Non-Black Type Bantry Bay Stakes last time, but ran on well to finish a short-head behind the winner. He finished 1.45 lengths behind DANCE VARIETY in his penultimate run. He is 2kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. Three of his four career victories have come over this C&D. If jumping on terms, he should be involved at the finish.
SEEKING THE STARS won a good race over 1000m at Hollywoodbets Durbanville last time. He has won once and finished third twice from four starts over this C&D. He may be hard to peg back in the run down to the line.
DANCE VARIETY won a game race in his last outing. He finished 1.75 lengths behind the second choice in his penultimate run. The pair meet on the same weight terms and he may have to settle for the same result.
Race 8
SWIATEK followed up her debut victory with a good second-place finish over this C&D. She raced from a handy position and tried hard all the way to the line. The daughter of Pomodoro has plenty of scope and from her good draw of two, she should take a power of beating.
MIRACULOUS finished 3 lengths behind the top selection last time. She is 2kgs better off at the weights today and should finish closer as a result.
PHILOSOPHISE has good consistent form lines to her credit. She stayed on when third over 1200m last time. She is drawn in pole position and merits healthy respect.
Race 9
DAFNES DAUGHTER has run three good races since winning her maiden over 1200m at Fairview. She stayed on when third over this C&D last time. The daughter of Vercingetorix takes a drop in class and with Richard Fourie in the irons, she may be the one to beat.
BECKY SHARP showed good signs of a form return in her last run over 1200m on this course. She moved up well before getting caught late by Why Not Jackie. She will strip a much fitter horse and if confirming her recent improvement, she should go close.
IN THE GREEN ZONE ran a fair race over 1000m against males last time. She has won once, finished second once and third three times from six starts over this C&D. She will strip much fitter and back against her own sex, she should be right there
