MRS SHACKLETON‘S last two starts against winners have been good. She is back in Maiden Company and should give the males a run for their money. 

Race 2

ROUGAROUIN showed good signs of a form return in his last start over 1200m on this course. The manner in which he stayed on at the finish that day was encouraging. Aldo Domeyer retains the ride and if confirming his recent improvement, he can notch up his second-career victory. 

TAMBOURINE MAN finished 1.7 lengths behind the top selection last time. He is 0.5kgs better off at the weights today and should finish closer as a result. 

ELECTRIC FEELS is in good form. She was running on when third over 1000m on this course last time. She carries another handy galloping mass of 53kgs and should be involved at the finish. 

Race 3

ALEX MILLER stayed on when third over this C&D last time. She should have finished closer to the winner that day as she hung outwards in the closing stages. The daughter of Gimmethegreenlight is a progressive type and Aldo Domeyer may be able to coax that little bit extra out of her where it matters most. 

WHITE WATERS stayed on when third over 1600m on this course last time. She has no issues with the drop back to 1400m and is one of the leading contenders. 

TAP SHOES is better than her last start over this distance at Hollywoodbets Durbanville. Her debut effort when third over 1250m, was encouraging. The daughter of Master Of My Fate has scope and with Richard Fourie in the saddle, she should be right there.

Race 4

AFRIQUE showed good improvement when second in his last start over this distance at Hollywoodbets Durbanville. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. The son of Querari jumps from a good draw of two and if suited to this course, he should find himself in the winner’s enclosure. 

NATIVE RULER has finished second in his last two starts. It must be noted that the form of his last outing has been franked. The son of Vercingetorix should love the extra 400m on offer and he should go close. 

GRAN CANARIA produced a promising debut effort over 1250m at Hollywoodbets Durbanville. The son of Vercingetorix would have gained from the experience. Grant van Niekerk retains the ride and with a bit of luck in running, he should be competitive. 

Race 5

TOTHEMOONANDBACK has not finished too far off the winner in recent outings. He stayed on when second over 1950m on this course last time. The son of Twice Over takes a drop in class and Grant van Niekerk may be able to coax that little bit extra out of him where it matters most. 

MOHANDAS finished 1.45 lengths behind the top selection last time. He is 1kg better off at the weights today and should finish closer as a result. 

OZARK won a game race in his last start over 1600m on this course. He received a six-pound penalty for that victory. Richard Fourie retains the ride and from pole position, he can follow up. 

Race 6

HANG OUT THE STARS raced from a handy position over 1600m last time, tried hard but found one too good in the form of Ozark. The daughter of Querari meets a similar line-up this afternoon and may be the one to side with. 

DREAM SEARCHER finished 3.25 lengths behind the top selection last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and she may have to settle for the same result. She has cracked a good draw of three and may be the one to fill the exact spot. 

VERONIQUE stayed on when third over 1200m last time. The 6yo mare has no issues with the rise to 1400m and she must be included in all bets. 

Race 7

FAMILY POWER has found a form return in her last three starts, the latest of which was over this C&D. She should have finished closer to the winner last time as she hung in the final 300m. Grant van Niekerk retains the ride and with a bit of luck from the widest draw, she can go one better. 

QHAWEKAZI finished 1.4 lengths behind the top choice last time. She is 0.5kgs better off at the weights today and should finish closer as a result. She is having her peak run and should be at peak fitness. The daughter of William Longsword merits healthy respect. 

SWIATEK won on debut at long odds over 1250m at Hollywoodbets Durbanville. It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won since. The daughter of Pomodoro takes on stronger, but she could be anything and may be up to the task at hand. 

Race 8

LUHAMBA PHAMBILI won a good race in the Non-Black Type Need For Speed Sprint last time. He showed good speed and kept finding all the way to the line. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. The son of Danon Platina has ability and can follow up with another victory. 

ICY BLAST is better than his last start in the Listed Southeaster Sprint. He has won once and finished second twice from five starts over this C&D. The son of Erupt is having his peak run today and should the top choice fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces. 

TENANGO was an easy winner of his last start over 1100m on this course. He received a six-pound penalty for that victory. Aldo Domeyer retains the ride and the combination merit healthy respect. 

Race 9

ROYAL LYTHAM raced from just off the pace over this C&D last time, but found one too good in the form of December Dawn. She has won twice, finished second once and third once from ten starts over this C&D. Aldo Domeyer retains the ride and in this field, she can return to winning ways. 

GRUE OF ICE finished 2.5 lengths behind the top choice last time. She is 1kg better off at the weights today and should finish closer as a result. 

EASY MONEY is better than her last start as she was reported to be coughing. Her last victory came in this Class. Corne Orffer is booked to ride and a form return is expected
