Race 1

WHITE SEAHORSE showed very good improvement when second in his local debut over 1800m on the polytrack. Things didn’t go his way in the early stages which didn’t help his chances. The son of Pomodoro jumps from a good draw of two and with a bit of luck in running, he can go one better.

O SPACE O showed massive improvement in his local debut over this C&D. He set the pace after a slow start before getting caught late by Ragnar The King. If confirming his recent improvement, he should be hard to peg back.

VENCEDOR ran a good race when third over 1400m on this course last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. The son of Erupt should earn another cheque for his patrons.

Race 2

GOT THE FEVER ran a fair race over this distance at Hollywoodbets Greyville last time. The 13-week break would have done her the world of good. The daughter of Rafeef meets the right field and if fit, she should find herself in the winner’s enclosure.

LA VIDA LOCA has fair consistent form lines to her credit. She has finished second once and third once from as many starts on this course. The daughter of Erupt is one of the leading contenders.

GLORIOUS BUTTERFLY’S last three starts have been fair. She is likely to be settled near the rear of the field from her awkward draw of nine and will be mowing down the frontrunners.

Race 3

KITCHAKAL had to overcome a wide draw in his last start over 1400m on this course. The manner in which he stayed on at the finish that day was encouraging. He has won twice and finished third once from as many starts over this C&D. He jumps from a handy draw of five and if this run has not come too soon, he should take a power of beating.

BRISTOL HERCULES finished 1.2 lengths behind CAPSAICIN last time. He is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish.

CAPSAICIN won a good race over this C&D last time. Sean Veale is likely to take him to the front once again and he may be hard to peg back.

Race 4

FLYINGCOOL stayed on when fourth over 1950m on this course last time. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. He won a game race in his penultimate outing over this C&D. The blinkers have been removed once again and with a bit of luck in running, he can notch up his third- career victory.

CAPTAIN OLIVER is lightly raced with good form lines to his credit. He finished 0.3 lengths behind the top choice in his penultimate run. He is 1kg worse off at the weights today and may have to settle for the same result.

ALLAROUNDTHEWORLD is better than his last start on the polytrack. He has won once, finished second once and third once from four starts on this course. If given a confident ride from the wide draw, he should be hard to peg back over the extra distance.

 

 

Race 5

PLAZA ACCORD returns from a 13-week break which may have done him the world of good. The son of Danon Platina takes a drop in class and gets the services of Muzi Yeni. If not in need of this outing, he can return to winning ways.

PALERMO ran a fair race over this distance on the polytrack last time. He has finished second once and third once from as many starts over this distance. He is having his peak run today and from pole position, he should be involved at the finish.

SWEEPER KEEPER fought hard for his last victory over this distance at Hollywoodbets Greyville. The cheekpieces did the trick on the son of Querari. He is in a good space and merits healthy respect.

Race 6

MAGMA MAGIC is better than his last start as there were excuses at the starting stalls. He has won once, finished second once and third once from as many starts over this C&D. He jumps from pole position and if everything goes according to plan, he may find himself in the winner’s enclosure.

STARS IN HEAVEN is a winner of his last two starts, the latest of which was over this C&D. He returns from a well-deserved 10-week break. If not in need of the run, he can bring up the hat-trick.

NUMZAAN fought hard when second over this distance on the polytrack last time. He takes on stronger but his handy galloping mass of 52kgs should assist. He is having his peak run today and must be included in all bets.

Race 7

LADY OF VIX showed some signs of needing her last start over 1100m on this course. Her first three runs over this distance were good. The daughter of Vercingetorix will strip a much fitter horse and she may be hard to peg back.

VISION TO ACHIEVE’S last three starts have been decent. She has won over this distance previously. Should the top choice fluff her lines, she may be the one to pick up the pieces.

AYUWI YUWI finished 0.9 lengths behind the second selection last time. She is 1kg worse off at the weights today and may have to settle for the same result.

Race 8

ONE SMART COOKIE was running on when second over 1100m on this course last time. She has won twice, finished second twice and third twice from eight starts over this C&D. If not too far out of her ground at the halfway mark, she can notch up her third-career victory.

COLORADO CREEK finished 0.9 lengths behind EMERALD GREEN in her penultimate run. She is 2kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned.

EMERALD GREEN stayed on over 1100m on this course last time. Three of her four career victories have come over this C&D. If jumping on terms, she should be involved at the finish
