Race 1

DELPHI DANCER lost 1L at the start, but stayed on well to finish third last time out over this c&d, 5.75L behind the winner. She has only had the three runs to date and would have come on further with that run under her belt. She looks to be the one to side with here.

BELLISSIVAR returns from a 12 week rest and jumped inwards and had a scalp wound second time out over 1000m, 12.75L adrift of the winner, but she represents a red hot stable and workrider, so she must have an undeniable chance here.

GOLDEN ARGO finished seventh in her latest start over six furlongs, 8L adrift of the winner, but the drop in trip is sure to be to her liking.

Race 2

PHALA MILLIONS is seldom far off the action and stayed on well when finishing second last time out over 1000m, 5.25L back from the winner, but is sure to appreciate the extra ground on offer today.

TROMBETTISTA did not go on with his effort when finishing sixth in his latest outing over 1400m, 4L off the winner, suggesting that the drop in trip will be to his liking.

TRIP TO STATES jumped inwards and hung in from the 400m pole when ending up in fifth place last time out over 1160m and has finished third twice over this c&d, so the gelding can’t be out of this contest.

Race 3

INTRO was slow away and did not quite go on with the effort to see out the 1400m of her last start, finishing 5.25L off the victor. She finished second over 1000m three runs back and could do better over this trip.

THE NAVY LARK would be a big runner if she repeats her penultimate effort over this c&d when finished second, just a head behind the winner.

EVE’S APPLE has found betting support in her two runs to date, but has had her excuses in both outings. She tries the extra distance, but this may be just what she is looking for.

Race 4

RED CARPET GIRL had her consistency rewarded with her third career win last time out over 1160m by putting 3.5L between herself and the opposition. The drop in trip should not be an issue and she may prove hard to topple.

LULU’S BOY’S apprentice dropped his crop when showing pace in his latest outing over 1000m, finishing 1.5L back from the winner over this c&d. The gelding has his peak run here and could emerge as the biggest danger to the top pick.

JJ’S EAGLE was a tad disappointing in her latest outing over 1400m, but had solid form prior to that. She will be hoping to bounce back to that type of form today.

Race 5

IN A BLUE MOON stayed on well when finishing third last time out over 1600m, 3.5L back from the winner and will have the blinkers removed for today’s run. If this move has the desired effect, he should be the one that they all have to beat.

CALLABURN lost a length and a half at the start when ending up in fourth spot last time out over 2000m, 4.75L adrift of the victor and has finished third in his only run over this journey. From his handy draw three, he could complete the exacta.

POMO CLAPPER overraced and was only run out of it late when finishing third last time out over 1700m in a work riders event, 0.4L behind the winner. The gelding is drawn the widest of them all in gate eleven, but he could prove hard to reel in over the closing stages.

Race 6

INCREDIBLE INDRANI overraced and had to be steadied at the 400m mark when finishing third last time out over 1800m, 7.75L back from the winner, but her first outing over 1400m was encouraging, so the drop in trip should suit the filly.

PERFORM showed marked improvement when finishing powerfully to end up in second place last time out over 1700m, just a neck back from the victor. If she is able to confirm that effort, she would make her presence felt in this line-up.

CITY LIGHTS was slow away but finished well to end up in second spot last time out over 1600m, 6.25L back from the winner. If she jumps on terms today, she should be involved in the finish.

Race 7

VIVA DE JANEIRO put 4.75L between himself and the balance of the field to record his second career win last time out over this c&d. The gelding only needs to repeat that effort to see him complete a quick double.

AUNT PITTYPAT returns from a 27 week absence, but a repeat of her last two runs at the venue, the latest over 2400m would see her challenge the top choice.

VOLTE FACE lost 1L at the start, but still won his latest outing over 1700m by 0.2L. He boasts two third place finishes over this c&d and should turn in another honest performance today.

Race 8

BREATH OF MAGIC has a habit of giving away start in his races and did so again when finishing second in his latest outing over 1450m, 3.5L adrift of the winner. If jumping on terms today, he could prove too good for this field.

PIKE PLACE has finished closer to the winner in each of his last three starts, the latest when fifth over 1700m, 1.9L behind the winner. If he has continued down that path of improvement, he could complete the exacta.

HAT FURIOUS showed solid improvement to finish fourth last time out over 1600m, 5.75L back from the victor and could improve further to trouble the judge
