Winning Form selections for all races from the Vaal on Thursday 19th December where there are huge prizes available in the free to enter @Hollywoodbets Punters Challenge
Race 1
SPY STORY set the pace over 1400m last time before getting caught late by Lloyd Wright. Raymond Danielson retains the ride and in this line-up, he should be hard to peg back.
BLUE CRYSTAL was outpaced over this distance last time, but finished off his race nicely. He returns from a 17-week break, during which time he was gelded. If not in need of the run, he should have more to come.
SPIRITO SELVAGGIO returns from a 10-week break and is having his first run for the Billy Ruiters stable. It must be noted that Choisaanada has come out and won again since. The son of Potala Palace has scope and he can finish in the placings.
Race 2
MOUNTAIN HIGH has finished second in both her efforts since returning from a 22-week break. She stumbled leaving the start last time, but stayed on to finish second. She has finished second in both her efforts over this distance. The daughter of Rafeef will be at peak fitness and if getting away to a clean start, she should find herself in the winner’s enclosure.
SHES EVERYTHING stayed on when fourth over 1800m on the Inside course last time. Her penultimate run when third over 1600m was encouraging. Should the top choice fluff her lines, she may be the one to pick up the pieces.
KALIKAA has fair recent form lines to her credit. She is having her peak run today and can earn another cheque.
Race 3
CARE FORGOT is better than her last start in the Grade 3 Betway Fillies Mile. She won a game race in the Non-Black Type Beach Beauty Mile at Hollywoodbets Greyville in her penultimate run. The daughter of The United States carries a handy galloping mass of 53.5kgs. If putting her best foot forward, she can notch up her fourth-career victory.
QUEEN OF LOVE set the pace over 1400m last time and fought hard all the way to the line. The daughter of Rafeef comes into this contest well-weighted and if suited to the mile, she should pose a massive threat.
DOITWITHDIAMONDS finished 0.1 lengths behind HAPPY MO last time. She is 2kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned.
Race 4
PLAY WITH FIRE was running on when third over 1800m last time. She won her only attempt over this C&D. Calvin Habib knows her well and she may be the one to side with. She is carded to race on 12 December 2024 and her progress in that race will need to be monitored.
TRIED AND TRUE has good recent form lines to her credit. She set the pace over 1400m last time and stayed on to finish third. Kabelo Matsunyane retains the ride and barrier two, she merits healthy respect.
GREAT BARRIER finished 1.5 lengths behind the second selection last time. She is 1kg better off at the weights today and should finish closer as a result.
Race 5
PRINCEOFGREEN showed good signs of a form return in his last start over this distance at Turffontein. He has won once and finished third once from three starts on this course. He drops back in class and will be mowing down the frontrunners.
PEACE TREATY stayed on when second over 1400m last time. The son of Act Of War should love the rise to 1600m. He jumps from a good draw of three and can go one better.
GUERILLA WARFARE finished 1.75 lengths behind the second selection last time. He is 2kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish.
Race 6
FLAG BEARER stayed on when second over 2000m at Turffontein last time. Three of his four career victories have come on this course. He drops back in class and Piere Strydom may be able to coax that little bit extra out of him where it matters most.
BLACK LIGHTNING tried hard when second over 1700m last time. He finished second in his only attempt over this C&D. Kabelo Matsunyane retains the ride and the pair merit healthy respect.
SILENT TRIGGER finished 2 lengths behind the second selection last time. He is 1kg better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating them at the finish.
Race 7
BACCHUS won his last start a lot easier than the official margin suggests. It must be noted that the horse that finished fourth that day has come out and won since. The son of Master Of My Fate takes a rise in class, but he has plenty of ability and should follow up with another victory.
HAWKBILL won his last start over 2000m with ease. The removal of the blinkers clearly did the trick. He received a six-pound penalty for that victory. Craig Zackey retains the ride and he may be the one to fill the exacta spot.
WILD INTENT is the stable companion of the second choice. He won a game race in his last start over 1700m. It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won since. He carries a handy galloping mass of 53.5kgs and cannot be ignored.
Race 8
BOB‘S YOUR UNCLE was a tad disappointing in his last start over 1450m on the Turffontein Inside course. He has won twice and finished third once from four starts over this distance. The son of Royal Mo is ideally suited to this course and with Craig Zackey back in the saddle, he should be hard to peg back.
ROLLWITHTHEPUNCHES took on much stronger in his last start over 1000m. He has won twice and finished second four times from nine starts over this distance. Apprentice Trent Mayhew knows him well and if keeping on a straight line, he should pose a threat.
COMING IN HOT has some good recent form lines to his credit. Four of his six career victories have come over this distance. The 6yo gelding will be mowing down the frontrunners
