Race 1
COURAGEOUS has finished second in her last two starts, the latest over a mile, 1.7 lengths behind the victor. She was slow away that day, but finished off her race well. She gets a handy draw three and looks to be the one to side with here.
PRINCESS LOLA put her disappointing penultimate start over 1450m behind her when finishing seventh last time out over 1160m, 2.4 lengths back from the winner. She gets Gavin Lerena in the saddle and could emerge as the biggest danger to the top choice.
FREEDOM SQUARE showed marked improvement to end up in fifth place last time out over 1160m, 2.3 lengths off the winner. She messed up the start, but stayed on well over the closing stages.
Race 2
POLICY OF TRUTH has his second run after a rest after finishing fifth in his comeback outing over seven furlongs, 2 lengths behind the winner, but he was bumped on that occasion, so he had an excuse.
REMAINS OF THE DAY has only had the three runs to date, finishing third in his latest outing over seven furlongs, 6.55 lengths adrift of the victor. The colt would have come on further with that run under his belt.
EIGER SANCTION showed solid improvement when running on for second last time out over seven furlongs, 1 length behind the winner, suggesting that the extra ground on offer here will be to his liking.
Race 3
AZALEAS FOR ALL has finished second in her last three runs, the latest over twelve furlongs, 3.25 lengths behind the winner. She started deep in the red that day and with Muzi Yeni retaining the ride, the pair will be hoping to make amends today.
THE WORK OF LIFE in turn has finished third five times in a row, the latest over a mile, 5.75 lengths back from the winner. She steps up to nine furlongs here, but this might just be what she is looking for.
CRYSTAL MAIDEN stayed on to end up in third spot in her latest outing over this C&D, 4.75 lengths adrift of the victor. Gavin Lerena knows her well and she should be right up there when they hit the line.
Race 4
IDEAL FUTURE has solid staying form over further to her name and drops down in journey after finishing third last time out over twelve furlongs. She will get 4kgs taken off her back thanks to her claiming apprentice, Trent Mayhew and could well appreciate the shorter distance.
EXPLOSIVE BOND lost 1 length when finishing fourth last time out over twelve furlongs, 5.8 lengths behind the winner, but has won once from three outings over this trip.
LADY ZULTANITE made good late progress when finishing fourth last time out over this distance, 2.25 lengths back from the winner. She returns from a 14-week rest, but if not in need of the run, she should be a big runner in this contest.
Race 5
SPARKLING JUBILEE is a 4-year-old filly taking on males, but she finished really well in her last start when 3 lengths behind the winner. She finished well after a slow start and should enjoy the extra ground on offer here.
DELLA’S SWORD finished fourth last time out over 1450m, 5 lengths adrift of the victor, but she has her peak run over more ground and may do better as a result.
ZOOMBOMBER finished fifth in his latest start over 1450m, 5.5 lengths back from the winner and will also be having his peak run. From his handy draw two, the gelding should be involved in the finish.
Race 6
HOUSE OF ROMANOV has won two of his last three outings, the latest over 1700m by a head. The colt has pulled a neat draw two and the double is very much on the cards.
EIFFEL TOWER in turn has won three of his last five runs, the latest over seven furlongs by 0.4 lengths. He has won over the mile before, so the step up in trip should not present an issue.
JORDAN is seldom far off the action, finishing second in his latest start over nine furlongs, 1.75 length behind the winner. He did win his only start over this C&D, which will stand him in good stead.
Race 7
RAVEN BLACK completed his hat-trick when winning last time out over six furlongs by 3.25 lengths. He will be having his peak run and looks to be a decent sort in the making.
BACK IN BUSINESS has won three of his last four outings, the latest over six furlongs by 1.25 lengths. He does return from a 21-week break, but if anywhere near his best, he should be competitive here.
COSMIC STAR showed plenty of toe when finishing second in his latest outing over six furlongs, only being caught in the shadow of the post by a head. It is also encouraging that Gavin Lerena sticks with the ride.
Race 8
CHASING HAPPINESS won over five furlongs first time out and then finished second next time out over 1160m, 0.5 lengths behind the winner. She will again be partnered by Gavin Lerena, which is a plus.
THERE SHE GOES stayed on well to finish fourth in her latest outing over five furlongs. 2.35 lengths back from the victor. She will have 4kgs removed from her allocated weight courtesy of her claiming apprentice, Kobeli Lihaba to aid her cause.
DANCING ARABIAN has finished third in her last two runs, the latest over a mile, 2.5 lengths off the winner and did finish second in her only start over this C&D
