EXETER v TOULOUSE
Posted 15 Dec 11h47
This handicap was +15.5 Exeter on Monday but money has come for Toulouse after they named a powerful team.
Exeter were well beaten by the Sharks and were poor in not being able to capitalise against 12 and 13 players in the final minutes.
Being at home I expect a spitited effort but the visitors will be too classy.
The points line is 59.5 and I am leaning unders. Toulouse may well go through the motions once their bonus point is secure and while conditions are not going to be bad the line just feels a touch high to me.

TOULON v GLASGOW
Posted 15 Dec 11h22
This handicap was -5.5 Toulon on Monday and is now generally around the -7.5 mark.
Toulon opened their campaign with an excellent away win in Cape Town and the Warriors beat Sale by 19 points at home.
The Warriors are not at full strength for this one and they look vulnerable upfront against a monstor pack.
The points line is 50.5 and conditions look like being cool and clear.
I was considering Toulon -3.5 half time handicap but am going to stick to an 80 minute market and will back them to get the try bonus point.
BET: 4 units Toulon over 3.5 tries at 8/10 at Sportingbet
STADE FRANCAIS v SARACENS
Posted 15 Dec 10h48
This handicap opened +4.5 SF and has edged to +6.5.
Both sides are close to full strength and the reason Saracens are favourite is based largely on motivation given they beat the Bulls last week while SF, fielding a weakened team were well beaten away to Munster.
The points line is 49.5 and while it looks like we wont get rain the humidity levels look high and there could even be some fog.
This could turn out to be a closely fought scrappy encounter and I am taking the unders.
BET: 4 units under 49.5 points at 19/20 at Betxchange
BENETTON v BATH
Posted Dec 15 10h24
This game opened Benetton +9.5 but the market quickly shifted to +3.5 when it became clear that Bath who lost at home last week were sending a much changed team. The line moved further after teams were announced and it is generally Benetton -3.5 now.
Benetton also lost last week away to Clermont but returning home they will be determined to put on a decent show in front of their fans.
I think Benetton can get the win here against an under strength Bath side and I will back them to do so by 3 points or more.
Conditions look decent and the points line looks well set at 51.5. If pushed I would be on the unders.
BET: 3 units Benetton -2.5 at 10/11 at Sportingbet
CARDIFF v CHEETAHS
Posted 14 Dec 11h05
The handicap for this game is Cardiff -8.5 and the points line is 50.5.
I quite like over 50.5 but at the end of the day I am settling on the home team on the handicap. This is a tough tournament for the Cheetahs given limited prep and also the fact that they battle to attract top players.
I am betting Cardiff will be too strong
BET: 2 units Cardiff -8 at 19/20 at WSB
LIONS v SECTION PALOISE
Posted 14 Dec 10h31
This handicap ranges between -19.5 Lions and -21.5 at the time of writing.
French teams are known to be disinterested in this competition and especially on their travels and I agree with Pablo in the forum that the -19.5 Lions is the play.
I also like the over 38.5 Lions but will stick with the handicap for now.
BET: 4 units Lions -19.5 at 9/10 at Betxchange
LA ROCHELLE v BRISTOL
Posted 14 Dec 09h58
This handicap has been fairly steady at around -18.5 all week. La Rochelle are worthy favourites but Bristol have picked a decent team and I expect them to contribute to a high scoring game.
The points line is 53.5 and although there is rain forceast earlier in the vening it should be gone by kick off and I am looking for an open game with defense (especially for Bristol) optional.
BET: 3 units over 53.5 point at 19/20 at WSB
LEINSTER v CLERMONT
Posted 14 Dec 09h46
Leinster should win this comfortably with Clermont making loads of changes after their win over Benetton at home last week. The handicap is Leinster -24.5 and the points line is 55.5.
I am torn between 2 bets here. Leinster have shown a tendency to start fast and then focus on defense and I like them to score 19 points or more before the break in what looks like being decent conditions.
I also rate this Leinster defense and would back then to keep Clermont down to under 15 points.
I can't decide and will back both.
BET: 3 units Leinster over 18.5 points at 9/10 at WSB
BET: 3 units Clermont under 14.5 points at 20/21 at Pokerbet
ULSTER v BORDEAUX
Posted 14 Dec 09h30
My attention will be on the Lions Challenge Cup match which kicks off at the same time so I won't be getting too involved in this one.
Ulster were hammered last week by Toulouse away and Bordeaux gave Leicester a 14 point beating at home. The handicap has been fairly stable with +12.5 Ulster early in the week now generally +10.5.
They have picked a full strength side and against a Bordeaux side with a few changes I am going to bet that they make a game of this with Bordeaux winning by a 1-12 points margin.
BET: 2 units Bordeaux 1-12 points at 15/10 at Sportingbet
CASTRES v MUNSTER
Posted 13 Dec 12h20
Castres started the week as slight underdogs but they have been backed into favouritism. The challenge as pointed out by Pablo on last nights THE HANDICAP is to know what their motivation levels for this tournament are. They were well beaten on the road by Northampton last week while Munster won fairly easily at home to Stade Francais.
I am going to assume that in picking a strong team Castres will be targeting the win.
The total points line is 46.5 and while it looks like the rain will be done before kickoff the quote looks about right.
BET: 3 units Castres 17/20 at Pokerbet
SALE v RACING 92
Posted 13 Dec 12h08
Sale were beaten by 19 points away at Glasgow last week and they face a Racing side that beat Harlequins by 11 points at home. The handicap has been steady all week with the -7.5 Sales edging to -8.5 at most bookies.
Racing 92 are missing some key players and I like the side that Sale have chosen and will take some of the -7.5 still available.
The points line is 45.5 and while it looks like rain will be avoided it will be cold with high humidity levels.
BET: 3 units Sale -7.5 at 9/10 at Hollywoodbets
