HIGHLANDERS V BLUES
Both teams narrowly beat the handicaps last week but despite the fact that I liked the 2 minus caps I ended up losing on both games with overs points plays. I am still kicking myself.
The Blues should win this one but the handicap looks a touch big in my opinion (I handicapped this one at +10.5 on Sunday night) and I will have a stab at the Highlanders to keep it close.
I think we will get points in this one but the line is high at 57.5 and I will chew on this for a while longer.

REBELS V FORCE
Both of these teams were poor in round 1 and I was particularly frustrated with the Rebels who wasted so many scoring opportunities against the Brumbies.
There has been money for both sides of the line with early money for the Force however the cap is heading out and the Rebels are now -6.5 or 7.5 depending on where you shop.
Much like a cricketer can pre-meditate a reverse sweep so I made up my mind to back the Rebels points straight after the Brumbies game.
The line is a bit higher than I hoped but the Super Round matches in Melbourne averaged 69 points last year, the Rebels scored 33 against the Canes and they got 52 when they hosted the Force last season. Conditions look decent and I am backing the Rebels to give their fans (and me) some much needed cheer.

MOANA PASIFIKA v FIJIAN DRUA
This line opened up +10.5 Pasifika and there has been money for them with the line now stabilising at +6.5. The points line is 60.5 and while that is tempting I am going to put it aside for now and focus on the match result where I think Moana Pasifika are capable of causing an upset.

CRUSADERS v WARATAHS
The Crusaders over 5.5 tries was my best bet in this weekend’s Newsletter and the only question for me is whether to back them on the handicap at -19.5, their total points over 39.5 or their tries over 5.5. I don’t expect penalties in this game and so I am going to go with the over 5.5 tries.

CHIEFS v BRUMBIES
This handicap has been stable at -8.5 for the last few days and there is also 55.5 on offer on the total points line. There is quite a bit of sentiment for the Brumbies on the plus on both of our Betting Shows this week and I am going to side with the panel on this one and back the Australian team to run the Chiefs close.

HURRICANES v REDS
The Hurricanes were one of the few highlights on the cards for me last weekend and they play against a Reds side that impressed me in their victory over the Waratahs. I think this is going to be a high scoring game with 3 pointers once again few and far between. Rather than take the over 58.5 points I am going to take 11/10 we get 9 tries or more in the game.
