MOANA PASIFIKA v THE REBELS

The Rebels delivered a big win for me last week when after a slow start they currently went over 31.5 points. Moana were also good as I backed them on the board and this week I m battling to find value in the match betting or handicaps.

The points line looks high at 61.5 but it is moving up and I think we are going to get plenty of tries. You can get 8/10 over 8.5 tries and that is tempting as to beat the points line we may need 9 converted tries but I am going to stick with points and hope for an early 3 pointer or two.

Keep an eye on our forum thread where I will post any late plays and where other punters share their intel and bets

BET: 4 units over 61.5 points at 10/11 at Pokerbet*

WARATAHS v HIGHLANDERS

The Waratahs were so impressive last week while the Highlanders will be kicking themselves for blowing so many opportunities in the 1st half against the Blues.

I handicapped this game Waratahs -4.5 which is very much where it opened but money has now come for the Highlanders.

I am happy to stick to my guns here and will back the Waratahs to win at a best price of 0.87/1

The points line looks well set at 56.5

BET: 4 units Waratahs win at 0.87/1 at Pokerbet*

FIJIAN DRUA v CRUSADERS

I handicapped this game at +9.5 the Drua and having opened +6.5 the line has gradually shifted to where I was expecting it. The Drua will have fond memories of beating the Crusaders at home last year and the Crusaders will be looking to bounce back from a very disappointing performance against the Waratahs in round 2.

I am leaning towards the Crusaders on the handicap, but my play on this one is going to be under 58.5 points as the hot humid conditions in Fiji makes scoring that bit more difficult.

BET: 4 units under 58.5 points at 9/10 at WSB

BRUMBIES v WESTERN FORCE

Although the Brumbies were well beaten last week by the Chiefs, they showed in their opening game against the Rebels that they have a very strong defence and I think the Force who battle to turn possession into point will be kept to 3 converted or less.

I am not getting involved in what looks a tricky handicap.

BET: 4 Units Force under 21.5 at 20/21 at Pokerbet*

HURRICANES v BLUES

The handicap opened Hurricanes +2.5 and this has gradually shifted to +4.5 currently available. I am leaning towards the Blues, but can’t see them running away with the game and in situations like these I usually default to the 1-12 option and will back the Blues to win, but by no more than 12 points.

The points line at 54.5 may yet see some action from me and any additional bets will be posted in the forum

BET: 2 Units, Blues by 1-12 points inclusive at 13/8 at Sportingbet*

REDS V CHIEFS

This should be a cracking game, I handicapped it Reds +8.5 and the early +12.5 Reds was snapped up with the lines generally around the 10 point mark as I post this. There was unanimous support for the Chiefs on last night’s live Rugby Betting Show, THE HANDICAP and they are a side that seems to be able to score points from anywhere.

The Reds also play an entertaining brand of rugby and they showed against the Hurricanes that they are going to be no pushovers for the New Zealand sides and having considered going overs on Chiefs Total Points (32.5) I am rather going to go for the match overs at 55.5.

BET: 4 Units over 55.5 points at 19/20 at WSB
