BRUMBIES V HIGHLANDERS
Posted 06 June, 22h52
This handicap is a fair bit bigger than I projected in my Sunday night exercise and having gone -7.5 Brumbies my initial thoughts were to pile into the Highlanders +14.5 (now +13.5) but I decided against early action.
A close look at the Brumbies home record shows they have been excellent at home all season and I am going to agree with Nathan on last nights shows that the Brumbeis are the handicap play.
The points line of 51.5 looks well set and in last years quarter against the Canes in Canberrra there were 70 points so gun to my head I would go overs.
BET: 4 units Brumbies -13.5 at 10/11 at Sportingbet*

BLUES v FIJIAN DRUA
Posted 06 June, at 22h42
This game has had me scratching my head all week.
I handicapped this game -22.5 Blues but in retrospect that was too low and the line seems to have settled around -25.5.
That sounds big but on reflection my handicap was well off and I actually think the Blues minus is the play.
I was considering going unders on Drua points at 14.5 but at the end of the day I am going to setlle on the Blues against a team that has travelled really poorly all season and lost their away quarterfinal by 41 points to the Crusaders last year.
The Blues confrontational style and strong D can see us home.
The match points line is 55.5 and that looks about right.
BET: 5 units Blues -25.5 at 10/11 at Betxchange
HURRICANES v REBELS
Posted 06 June, at 20h21
This game is a few points bigger than where I handicapped it (-27.5 v -22.5 Hurricanes) but I cannot bring myself to back this Rebels team.
The points line is 59.5 and that is where my interest will lie.
While the weather looks decent as in no rain it looks as though it could be humid and I have seen forecasts of 80% which while not Durban like may make handling a bit challenging.
Interestingly enough this bet would only have arrived in 1 Hurricanes home game this season although that was against the Rebels back in March.
Being a playoff game this just feels a bit high and I am on the unders although once again prefer thr tries line as 3 pointers may be taken early.
BET: 4 units under 8.5 tries at 17/20 at Pokerbet*

CHIEFS V REDS
Posted 06 June, 19h50
I handicapped this game Chiefs -11.5 and that is where it is currently sitting.
It is the points line that interests me though and it currently sits at 54.5 (down slightly from the opening call of 55.5)
The weather looks decent but the humidity looks fairly high so handling might be tricky.
Looking at last years playoff games in Hamilton there were 49 points in the quarters (29-20 against the Reds), 25 points in the semi’s against the Brumbies and 45 points in the final against the Crusaders.
I like the unders on points but my preference is for under 7.5 tries as the Chiefs are a team that takes penalties and being a playoff game the Reds will probably do likewise.
BET: 5 units under 7.5 tries at 9/10 at Pokerbet*
