BettingDiaryThere are 4 English Premier League matches taking place on Saturday and we take a look at each of them from a betting angle.

WEST HAM UNITED v MANCHESTER CITY – Click here to bet

West Ham made a promising start to the season and sit 9th undefeated in their last 3 games having lost their opening two fixtures. Last week’s 3-3 draw away at Tottenham is one that will linger in the memory as they had to come from 3-0 behind to get the draw. Their last home game was a convincing 4-0 win over Wolves.

City are 11th on the table, but with having played a game less than most of the EPL. They have won 2, drawn 1 and lost one and last time out edged Arsenal 1-0 at home with their last away game a 1-1 draw at Leeds.

City have a habit of winning big at West Ham and won this fixture 5-0 last season and 4-0 the season before that.

BETTING

West Ham United 23/4

Draw 17/4

Manchester City 9/20

Suggested Bet: Handicap, West Ham United (+1) at 19/10

The bookies are writing West Ham off, but from what I have seen from them this season they are not going to be pushovers for City. City to me haven't looked at their best and could be vulnerable. For this best to arrive I need West Ham to win or draw.

FULHAM v CRYSTAL PALACE – Click here to bet

Fulham are rock bottom on the table, but finally picked up their 1st point when they drew 1-1 away at Sheffield United last time out. Prior to that they lost all 4 matches including home games against Aston Villa and Arsenal both by 3-0 margins.

Palace are 14th on the table and after winning their 2 opening fixtures have only taken 1 point from the last 9 they have played for and last time out drew 1-1 at home with Brighton and their last away game was a 4-0 defeat at Chelsea.

BETTING

Fulham 37/20

Draw 43/20

Crystal Palace 17/10

Suggested Bet: Crystal Palace win at 17/10

It is not a confident call, but I just think that Palace will pack too many guns for the newcomers.

MANCHESTER UNITED v CHELSEA – Click here to bet

Manchester United are in 15th on the log having only played 4 games and they did hammer Newcastle United 4-1 away last time out. Their last home game was a shock 6-1 defeat against Tottenham and both teams have found the net in all 4 of Manchester United’s games all of which have delivered 4 goals or more.

They face a Chelsea side that sits in 8th position on the log, but has been rather erratic with 2 wins, 2 draws and a loss and last time out drew 3-3 at home to Southampton and their last away game was also a 3-3 draw at West Brom.

Chelsea drew in midweek at home in the Champions League and Manchester United got an impressive away victory at PSG.

BETTING

Manchester United 15/10

Draw 26/10

Chelsea 18/10

Suggested Bet: Manchester United win at 15/10

I am prepared to overlook that Tottenham result and feel that Manchester United are actually playing some good football and can win this game at home.

LIVERPOOL v SHEFFIELD UNITED – Click here to bet

Liverpool have stumbled after making a quick start to their title defence, winning their first 3 games, but since then they have lost 7-2 away at Aston Villa and last time out drew 2-2 away at Everton. Their home games have been 3-1 victory over Arsenal and a 4-3 win over Leeds.

Sheffield United are second from bottom on the table in 19th having taken just 1 point and that was last time out against Fulham, drawing 1-1 at home. On the road they have lost 2-1 to Arsenal and to Aston Villa 1-0.

BETTING

Liverpool 3/10

Draw 5/1

Sheffield United 9/1

Suggested Bet: Over 3.5 goals at 11/10

Liverpool fixtures have tended to have goals in them both sides and I think they have a chance to run away with this one, but Sheffield United can also contribute.
