BettingDiaryThere is plenty of sport for punters to bet on this coming Friday and we take a closer look in our Daily Diary.

RUGBY

There are 2 Super Rugby games on Friday morning and first up it is the Highlanders against the Rebels. The handicap has been set as Highlanders (-13.5) and although they haven't been at their best this season, we think they can pull clear to beat what looks a fairly average Rebels side by 14 points or more.

The Lions are the first of the South African teams in action and they play the Waratahs away. The Waratahs are 6/10 favourites with the draw 25/1 and the Lions 31/20 and that translates a handicap of Waratahs (-3.5).

Like the opening match neither of these sides are performing at top level and our bet for this one is the Lions to get 25 points or more at even money.

There is also live Pro 14 action on Friday night with Leinster taking on Glasgow and there is no surprise that Leinster are firm favourites at home at (-12.5) and we don’t think that will be enough of a start and fancy them to beat this handicap at a current price of 9/10.

FOOTBALL

There is English Premier League football on Friday night with bottom of the table Norwich at home to 3rd placed Leicester.

Norwich have only taken 1 point from the last 12 they have played for and they trail second from bottom Watford by 6 points while Leicester had something of a wobble, winning only 1 of their last 5 and they are without a win in their last 3.

These sides played to a 1-1 draw at Leicester earlier in the season and we think that Norwich’s recent performances have been on the up and they can secure victory at a tasty price of 34/10.

GOLF

The Oman Open and the Honda Classic continue and there will be live betting in-running as well as updated odds at the end of each day’s play. Keep an eye on the short-cut menu to the top left hand side of our page for in-running links to these events.

HORSE RACING

There are 2 horse racing meetings locally with the Fairview Turftrack hosting a meeting on Friday, a 9 race card starting at 12:10 and finishing at 16:40.

There is a hotpot favourite in the 1st Race, No. 2, Tiger In The Sun priced at 11/20, but not sure we would advise getting involved at those odds. There look to be 2 possible Pick Six bankers on the cards with Horse No. 10 in the 8th Race, World Radar priced at 7/10 and another 11/20 shot, American Landing, Horse No. 1 in the 6th. Of course if you want to collect a big dividend it may pay to try and beat those.

There is racing at the Greyville Polytrack on Friday night with action getting going at 16:27 and the 8th and final race due off at 20:30.

The card looks a tricky one and the 6th race for example we are betting 11/2 the field and a potential Pick Six banker maybe Horse No. 4, Mohican in the 7th, currently priced at 18/10.
