BettingDiaryThe action packed week of English Premier League football continues on Wednesday and Thursday night and we take a look at the 3 matches and suggest a bet in each.

WEDNESDAY

TOTTENHAM v SOUTHAMPTON

Tottenham are 7th on the table and they are without a win in their last 3 games and also go into this on the back of the sacking of their manager, Mourinho.

Spurs recent games have been high scoring with 4 goals in each of their last 3 matches and over 2.5 goal backers would have collected in 5 of their last 6 games.

Southampton are 14th on the log with 2 wins and 3 losses in their last 5. Their last game was away at West Brom where they were beaten 3-0 and that was their 4th successive match which reached 3 goals or more.

Tottenham 8/10

Draw 57/20

Southampton 34/10

Suggested Bet: Over 2.5 goals at 7/10

With Mourinho having departed I am expecting Spurs to play with more freedom and this will hopefully see the goals flow.

ASTON VILLA v MANCHESTER CITY

Aston Villa are 11th on the table with just one win in their last 6 games. Last time out they lost 2-1 away at Liverpool. Their last home game was a 3-1 win over Fulham.

Manchester City are still comfortably top of the table, 8 points clear of Manchester United, but they have lost 2 of their last 5 games including going down 2-1 at home to Leeds last time out. They are into the Champions League Semi-finals.

Some of their best work has been done on the road this season and they have only lost once in 15 games and have won their last 5.

Aston Villa 7/1

Draw 4/1

Manchester City 4/10

Suggested Bet: Both Teams to Score YES at 1/1

City look to be stretched at the moment and while it is hard to oppose them I think Villa can give a good account of themselves and contribute to the scoring.

THURSDAY

LEICESTER v WEST BROM

Thursday night sees Leicester host West Brom and they will be hoping for a return to form having lost their last 2 games, although to despite this they are sitting 3rd on the log.

Goals have been plentiful in recent Leicester games with over 2.5 goal backers collecting in 6 of their last 8 and all 8 of those games have had at least 2 goals in them. Draws have been rare in Leicester home games this season with 7 wins and 7 losses in their 15 games.

West Brom have probably left it too late, but they are making a decent run of staying in the EPL and have won back-to-back games to sit 19th on the log, 9 points shy of Burnley in 17th.

They beat Southampton 3-0 at home last time out and prior to that stunned Chelsea winning 5-2 on the road. Prior to those 2 games which were loaded with goals, West Brom had gone 6 matches in a row without any of their games reaching 3 goals.

Leicester 6/10

Draw 31/10

West Brom 5/1

Suggested Bet: Over 2.5 goals at 17/20

West Brom are playing like a side with nothing to lose and this has the potential to be a very open and exciting game and I think we will get 3 goals between them at least.
