The Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya plays host to this weekend’s Spanish Grand Prix and Max Verstappen will be keen to put the pressure back onto Lewis Hamilton in the title race.
Last week’s Portuguese Grand Prix saw the Mercedes duo of Bottas and Hamilton qualify on the front row of the grid. Hamilton went on to win the race with Verstappen getting 2nd and Bottas completed the podium.
Hamilton has now opened up an 8 point gap over Verstappen at the top of the Drivers log and he has shortened into 9/20 for the Championship with Verstappen currently on offer at 16/10. You can get 40/1 and better the balance.

Lewis Hamilton goes into this Spanish Grand Prix looking for his 5th successive victory here and looking to equal Michael Schumacher’s victory of 6 wins in total. Hamilton won as he liked last week in Portugal and it is no surprise to see him starting as favourite here at 12/10

Suggested Bet: Max Verstappen win at 15/10
Hamilton has won twice and Verstappen once in the 3 Grand Prix’s this season and each time the other has finished runner-up.
Last week I was on Hamilton, but I have a feeling Verstappen could turn the tables on him this weekend. It is hard to question Hamilton’s record at this track, but I did feel before the Portuguese Grand Prix that Verstappen looked to be in the quicker car and that factors favoured Hamilton last week.
Remember that this bet comes with a money back in free bets guarantee should Verstappen run 2nd – see promo details on the banner below.
Another bet I fancy is Verstappen to be the Fastest Qualifier at 1/1. So far the pole positions has been split between Verstappen, Hamilton and Bottas, but on a track which I am expecting to suit the Red Bulls more than last weeks did, I think that Verstappen can claim his 2nd pole. I am going to stick with the win bet for now though.
Additional Bet: Podium finish – Sergio Perez at 14/10
Perez had his best finish of the season with a 4th place last week and I am looking for an improvement from him this time around and to pip the Mercedes of Bottas on to the podium.
