BettingDiaryThere are 6 DSTV Premiership fixtures taking place on Saturday and we run through them with a suggested bet in each.

BLOEM CELTIC v KAIZER CHIEFS

Celtic are currently 11th on the table and they haven't had a win in their last 4 games, with 3 draws and a loss. That loss came last time out at Tshakhuma with the 1-0 defeat breaking a run of 6 successive matches where both teams found the back of the net.

Chiefs are 9th on the table. They are coming off a 1-0 home loss to Chippa United, a result that severely dents their Top 8 hopes. Prior to that they beat Sundowns 2-1 on the road.

Bloem Celtic 23/10

Draw 12/5

Kaizer Chiefs 23/20

Suggested Bet: Both teams to score, YES, AT 1/1

As mentioned this has been a common occurrence in Bloem Celtic matches, but Kaizer Chiefs games have also seen both teams find the net in 4 of their last 5 games.

CHIPPA UNITED v STELLENBOSCH

Chippa United are currently 15th on the log and in relegation danger. They beat Chiefs 1-0 away last time out and that broke a run of 11 matches without a victory. Under 2.5 goal backers have collected profits in Chippa United’s last 3 matches.

Stellenbosch can be grateful for their strong start this season because they currently sit in 12th position, but they are without a win in their last 7 matches and last time out went down 1-0 at home to Maritzburg United. Goals have been in short supply in recent Stellenbosch games with under 2.5 goals arriving in their last 4 matches.

Chippa United 31/20

Draw 17/10

Stellenbosch 47/20

Suggested Bet: Over 2.5 goals at 39/20

The stats suggest that this will be a low scoring game, but Chippa United have reached the point where they have to take chances and I think this could see the goals flowing in this game.

GOLDEN ARROWS v AMAZULU

Golden Arrows are 3rd on the log with just 2 defeats all season. They are undefeated in their last 9 with 6 draws and 3 wins. Their last 2 games have been goalless draws away at Sundowns and Chippa United.

AmaZulu are the form team in the Division and they have won 8 of their last 10 matches including a 5-1 hammering of Cape Town City away last time out. AmaZulu have won 6 of their 12 away matches this season and that includes the last 5 in succession.

Golden Arrows 33/20

Draw 41/20

AmaZulu 37/20

Suggested Bet: AmaZulu win at 37/20

I must say I was tempted by the draw here given the number of draws that Arrows have played to of late, but I was just so impressed by the AmaZulu win over Cape Town City and I have to think that they need to be backed until beaten.

TS GALAXY v CAPE TOWN CITY

Galaxy are up to 8th on the table thanks to a victory over Baroka on the road last time out. That broke a run of 4 successive losses which has seen them slide down the table.

Cape Town City appear to have righted the ship with 3 successive victories, but they were brought down to earth with a 5-1 home loss to AmaZulu last time out.

TS Galaxy 41/20

Draw 37/20

Cape Town City 16/10

Suggested Bet: Over 2.5 goals at 29/20

Cape Town City’s last 4 matches have seen this bet arrive and I am expecting plenty of goal-mouth action in this one.

SUPERSPORT UNITED v BAROKA

SuperSport are currently 6th on the log and without a win in their last 9 matches. They are coming off a 1-1 draw away at Swallows and their last home game was a 1-0 defeat to Golden Arrows. They play a Baroka side that has won only 2 of their last 10 and last time out went down 1-0 at home to Galaxy.

Under 2.5 goal backers would have collected profits in the last 6 Baroka matches and in 8 of the last 9 SuperSport games.

SuperSport United 9/10

Draw 22/10

Baroka 7/2

Suggested Bet: Under 1.5 goals at 31/20

I don’t often take this bet, but not surprisingly under 2.5 goals is a bit short for my liking and the way these sides have been playing, a goalless draw or a 1-0 for either side is my pick.

TSHAKHUMA v BLACK LEOPARDS

Tshakhuma are 14th on the log, just outside the relegation zone. They have done their cause plenty of good with 2 wins in their last 3 games, most recently beating Bloem Celtic 1-0 at home.

Black Leopards are bottom of the table and look certainties for relegation with just 1 win in their last 10 matches. They are coming off home draws against SuperSport United and Stellenbosch and their last away game was a 1-0 defeat to Swallows. Goals have been hard to come by in Leopards games with under 2.5 goals in their last 5 matches.

Tshakhuma 12/10

Draw 39/20

Black Leopards 27/10

Suggested Bet: Tshakhuma win at 12/10

Tshakhuma have run into form at the right time and deep down Black Leopards know they are relegated so Tshakhuma have more to play for and I think they can bag the 3 points.
