BettingDiaryLive Championship football is amongst Friday’s Sports Betting highlights and we take a closer look in our Daily Diary.

FOOTBALL

Friday night sees Championship action with struggling Middlesbrough tackling relegation threatened Stoke City.

Middlesbrough currently sit 20th on the table, but they have won 2 of their last 5 matches and they play Stoke who are currently 22nd, 3 points behind them and have won 1 of their last 5 matches although are undefeated in their last 2 games.

Middlesbrough are 19/10 for the win with the draw 22/10 and Stoke 31/20 and we think that the home team could be the value play here. Looking at the goals markets recent history it has seen low scoring games between these sides and under 2.5 goals is trading at 7/10.

For those who prefer to get going a little bit later the Brisbane Heat and the Melbourne Stars at 10:10 and here the betting is 10/11 the pair and we fancy a bit of Maxwell to score the most sixes at 5/1.

RUGBY

There is Pro 14 and English Premiership matches this weekend although the Cheetahs and the Kings are not in action.

On Friday night Leinster v Ulster is a televised game and here the home team are 1/50 against what is going to be a weakened Ulster side. The handicap is Leinster (-26.5) points and if they get going they can certainly cover this handicap.

HORSE RACING

Local Horse Racing takes place at the Fairview Turftrack on Friday and at the Greyville Turftrack on Friday night.

The Fairview meeting gets going at 12:35 and ends at 16:40, an 8 race card and we have no fancies in this one and you can Click Here to bet on the Fairview Race Meeting

Friday night racing comes to you from Greyville and here we have a 9 race card starting at 16:25 and ending at 21:10. Race 7 looks one of the more open races on the card and finding a winner in this 1000 metre sprint could be tricky. Our advice would be to go deep in your Pick Six if possible, but we do fancy the chances of 2nd favourite Yaas currently priced at 5/1.
