BettingDiaryWe take a look at the 4 English Premier League matches taking place on Saturday and suggest a bet in each game.

MANCHESTER CITY v WEST HAM

Manchester City are top of the table and West Ham are currently in 4th position, but if you looked at form over the last 10 matches in the League these teams would be sitting 1st and 2nd on the table with City having taken maximum points and West Ham 23 out of a possible 30.

City are coming off a 1-0 away win over Arsenal and their last home game was a 3-0 win over Spurs.

West Ham have drawn 3 and won 1 of their last 4, most recently beating Tottenham at home 2-1. The Hammers have only lost 3 times on the road in 12 starts this season.

Manchester City 1/4

Draw 11/2

West Ham 23/2

Suggested Bet: Over 3.5 goals at 5/4

Despite West Ham’s form this is a one-sided betting heat and it is difficult to find value in the match betting. I am turning to the goals market because City have found their form in front of goal and Wet Ham can get on the score sheet themselves.

WEST BROM v BRIGHTON

West Brom are 19th on the table and coming off back-to-back draws, away at Burnley and at home to Manchester United. They have the worst home record in the Premier League, winning just 1 from 12 matches.

Brighton are 16th on the log and coming off a 2-1 home defeat to Palace. That match which featured 3 goals broke a run of 7 consecutive Brighton games when under 2.5 goal backers would have collected profits. Brighton are undefeated in their last 3 away games.

West Brom 63/20

Draw 49/20

Brighton 19/20

Suggested Bet: Brighton win at 19/20

Prior to that defeat by Palace, Brighton were playing some good football and I think they can beat West Brom on the road. I was considering under 2.5 goals, but at 13/20 it is that bit short for me.

LEEDS v ASTON VILLA

Leeds are 10th on the table and are coming off a good victory at home to Southampton when they won 3-0. It was their 2nd consecutive home win having beaten Crystal Palace 2-0 in their previous home game.

Aston Villa are 2 positions above Leeds and 8th on the table, but they are coming off a defeat at home to Leicester and prior to that drew on the road against Brighton. Villa’s away record is good with 6 wins and 2 draws in 12 starts.

Leeds 12/10

Draw 27/10

Aston Villa 43/20

Suggested Bet: Leeds win at 12/10

Leeds have tightened up their defence and that has been key to their recent success. At the same time they possess some good attacking players and I like their chances to grab all 3 points.

NEWCASTLE v WOLVES

Newcastle are 17th on the table, 1 position outside the relegation zone and 3 points clear of Fulham who are in 18th place. They have lost 3 of their last 4 games, most recently going down 3-1 at Manchester United, but their last home game was a 3-2 win over Southampton.

Wolves are 12th on the table and they have found a nice run of form with 3 wins and a draw in their last 4 starts. Last time out they beat Leeds on the road and their last away game was a 2-1 win over Southampton.

Newcastle’s home games have delivered for over 2.5 goal backers and 9 of the 12 matches would have seen you in profit had you taken that bet.

Newcastle 26/10

Draw 22/10

Wolves 12/10

Suggested Bet: Both teams to score, YES, at 1/1

Newcastle tend to score at home, but they also concede and this bet would have arrived in their last 4 home matches.
