BettingDiarySunday sees Stage 15 of the Tour de France starting at Lyon and finishing at Grand Colombier covering a distance of 174 kilometres.

Stage 14 Wrap

Stage 14 was action packed from beginning to end and as expected the Bora team made life hard for the Green Jersey, Sam Bennett and they managed to distance him early and eventually ride him out of the stage.

One of our picks, Peter Sagan moved to a clear favourite at one point, but he had to work too hard in the end and it was Sunweb’s, Soren Kragh Andersen who took advantage of a drop in the pace to jump clear and win on his own.

Stage 15 is an absolute brute and should be a massive GC battle up the final climb. If Roglic can get through this with his lead in tact or even extended he will feel he has one foot on the top of the Tour de France podium.

Stage 15 Verdict

With a rest day coming up the GC riders will be jostling to improve their positions ahead of the final week. The chances of a strong breakaway surviving are not entirely dismissed but the vote goes to the GC and the current race leader Primoz Roglic who has ridden the perfect tour so far.
