BettingDiaryThere are no fewer than 6 English Premier League matches taking place on Wednesday and we suggest a bet in each.

EVERTON v WOLVES

Everton are 8th on the table and are coming off a 1-0 home defeat to bottom of the log Sheffield United. Prior to that they drew 0-0 to Aston Villa away from home. They face Wolves who sit in 12th place on the log and are coming off a 2-0 away defeat at Tottenham.

Everton 17/20

Draw 53/20

Wolves 33/10

Suggested Bet: Under 2.5 goals at 15/20

Neither of these sides are playing well enough to back with them confidence, but Everton’s last 3 games have had 2 goals or less in them and Wolves are also struggling for goals at the moment.

NEWCASTLE UNITED v SHEFFIELD UNITED

Newcastle are 16th on the log, 19 points ahead of bottom placed Sheffield United. They are coming off a thrilling 4-3 loss to Manchester City at home and prior to that beat Leicester 4-2 on the road.

Sheffield United have won 2 of their last 4 games including beating Everton 1-0 on the road last time out and that was only their second away win all season.

Newcastle United 15/20

Draw 59/20

Sheffield United 7/2

Suggested Bet: Over 3.5 goals at 7/4

Goals have been flowing in Newcastle matches and this would have arrived in 60% of their last 5 games, suggesting the 7/4 odds are worth snapping up.

TOTTENHAM v ASTON VILLA

Tottenham are coming off a 2-0 home victory over Wolves and sit 6th on the table having won 3 of their last 4. Aston Villa have only won 1 of their last 5 and their last match was a 3-2 away defeat at Crystal Palace. 7 of the last 8 Villa matches have had over 2.5 goals in them.

Tottenham won the reverse fixture 2-0.

Tottenham 11/20

Draw 15/4

Aston Villa 9/2

Suggested Bet: Matchbet + Totals, Over 2.5 goals and Tottenham win at 17/20

Both of these sides have played in high scoring games of late though I expect Tottenham to grab the 3 points in a match that has at least 3 goals in it.

CRYSTAL PALACE v ARSENAL

Crystal Palace are 13th on the table and have won 2 of their last 3, last time out beating Villa 3-2 at home. There has been an aggregate of 9 goals in Crystal Palace’s last 2 matches.

Arsenal are 9th on the table after 3 successive victories, most recently beating Chelsea 1-0 on the road and they are undefeated in their last 5 on their travels.

These sides played to a goalless draw at Arsenal earlier in the season, the 3rd successive League draw between the sides.

Crystal Palace 5/1

Draw 7/2

Arsenal 11/20

Suggested Bet: Crystal Palace win at 5/1

Arsenal are in good form, but Palace have also looked good of late and the way the Gunners season has gone they dip in and out of form fairly quickly and I think the 5/1 represents value.

BURNLEY v LIVERPOOL

Burnley are 15th on the table and were hammered 4-0 at home to Leeds last time out, prior to that they beat Fulham 2-0 on the road.

They face a Liverpool side sitting in 5th position, but very much in Top 4 contention and Liverpool are undefeated in their last 8, winning 6 and drawing 2. Last time out they scored a thrilling last minute header through their goalkeeper to win 2-1 at West Brom and prior to that they beat Manchester United 4-2 at Old Trafford.

Burnley 10/1

Draw 6/1

Liverpool 1/4

Suggested Bet: Handicap, Liverpool (-2) at 29/20

Liverpool seemed to have run into form at the right time for a Top 4 finish and the goals are gradually starting to flow. I think they can put Burnley away and win by more than 2 goals.

WEST BROM v WEST HAM

West Brom are going to be relegated, but they put up a game show against Liverpool last time, going down to a last minute winner at home. They are though 5 games without a victory in the league and both teams have found the net in Wet Brom’s last 4 matches.

West Ham are 7th on the table, but have really battled in the run into the line with only 1 win in their last 5. They drew 1-1 at Brighton last time out.

West Ham won the reverse fixture 2-1.

West Brom 4/1

Draw 33/10

West Ham 5/8

Suggested Bet: West Brom win at 4/1

West Ham look like a side who have lost their way and are quite possibly down on themselves having being challenging for a Top 4 finish at one point. I think West Brom, the way they played against Liverpool are the value to win this.
