BettingDiaryThe Rose Bowl in Southampton is the venue for the World Test Championship between India and New Zealand starting on Friday and we take a look at the match from a betting angle.

India have a squad of virtually unmatched talent and depth, but they haven't seen Test Match action since February and March of this year when they came from behind to beat England 3-1 in a home series. Prior to that they had beaten Australia 2-1 in a 4 match series away from home.

New Zealand should be the more match fit of the two sides, having just beaten England 1-0 in a 2 match series, trotting up in the second test to win by 8 wickets. They also have recent series wins over Pakistan at home and these sides met in New Zealand early in 2020 where the home team won both Test Matches by comfortable margins.

India 29/20

Draw 26/10

New Zealand 18/10

Suggested Bet: New Zealand win at 18/10

New Zealand were impressive in beating England in the recent series and they showed they could handle conditions which they are likely to encounter in this match. India are never to be written off and if a side can win in Australia then they can win anywhere, but I just think that the Black Caps are going to have the edge here.

Suggested Bet: Top Away Batsman, Conway at 28/10

What a start to his Test career Conway has made and I see no reason why he can’t continue his excellent form.

Suggested Bet: Top Away Bowler, First Innings, Boult at 28/10

These English surfaces are perfect for Bolt and I fancy him to trouble the Indian top order and he could quite possibly wrap up the tail as well.
