Pakistan and South Africa remain in Faisalabad the third and final One Day International on Saturday and after the Proteas squared things up in the series this is the decider.
This is the final match of a tour which has seen the test series shared 1-1 and Pakistan won last week’s T20 series 2-1.
All 3 matches are taking place in Faisalabad and the first ODI on Tuesday saw Pakistan come out on top by 2 wickets. The Proteas posted were all out for 263 and Pakistan got over the line with just 2 wickets and 2 balls to spare.
The second contest took place on Thursday and this time the Proteas coasted to an 8 wicket victory. Pakistan won the toss and opted bowl for the second match in succession and they were in big trouble early doors at 22/3. Saim Aub hung around for 53 and Salman Agha top scored with 69. Later in the innings Mohammad Nawaz hit 59 and a cameo of 28 from Faheem Ashraf helped them to post 269/9 in their 50 overs. Nandre Burger took 4/46, Nqabayomzi Peter (3/55 in 8 overs) and Corbin Bosch (2/58) were also in the wickets. Pakistan hit 8 maximums.

The Verdict
Pakistan used all of 8 bowlers on Thursday and 5.70 was the most economical run rate as de Kock and co made short work of the chase. The Proteas openers also performed well in the first match and could hold the key to a series win.
I’m not sure if we are using the same deck but given the total sixes count on Thursday I’m happy enough to row in with “overs”
Bets: South Africa to win at 14/10 with Pokerbet
