Betway Premiership continues on Wednesday and we take a look at the matches between Orlando Pirates and Polokwane and Kaizer Chiefs vs Siwelele

Orlando Pirates 4/10 Draw 36/10 Polokwane 86/10

Pirates finished the previous round in third spot with 15 points, 5 fewer than Sekhukhune (who have played 2 games more and 6 adrift of Sundowns who had played 3 more than the Bucs. Pirates are in top form having reeled off 5 straight wins in the Betway Premiership (each with a clean sheet) in addition to lifting the MTN8, going well in CAF competitions and lifting the MTN8 trophy.

Polokwane also have 15 points although they have played 2 games more than Pirates who beat them 2-0 in Orlando in the MTN8 quarters back in August. They have won 3 of their last 4 league outings, all of which were home games but their only recent road trip saw them go down 1-0 at Orbit College and 4 road trips have seen hem score just twice and concede 3 times.

Verdict

Polokwane’s road trips have been short on goal action and I fancy they will set up to keep Pirates at bay. I’m going to give the visitors a punchers chance o going into half time all square.

Kaizer Chiefs 0.77/1 Draw 9/4 Siwelele 42/10

Chiefs have confirmed Nasreddine Nabi has left the coaching role and Khalil Ben Youssef and Cedric Kaze will be in charge for the remainder of the season. After a bright start to the campaign Chiefs have lost their way with a 3-1 home defeat to Sekhukhune followed by 1-1 draws at home to Marumo Gallants and Amazulu. They also exited the Carling Konockout away to Stellenbosch and now go about the task of improving on a league record of 4 wins, 3 draws and 1 defeat which sees them in fourth position along with a number of teams on 15 points.

Siwelele have two wins against their name, 3-1 at home to Arrows on the opening weekend and 1-0 at home to Gallants in their most recent league outing. In between they lost 6 and drew 1 of their matches and they have scored just 4 goals in 9 games. In the Carling Knockout they made Pirates work hard for a 1-0 victory in Orlando.

Verdict

Not exactly the dawn of another new era for Chiefs as these guys have looked after the coaching side before but with Nabi officially gone and facing an opponent who have been struggling, especially away from home, I’m with Chiefs to win with a clean sheet.

Bet: Which teams to score? Only Chiefs at 1.55/1 with Betway
